If you are actually moving I would think freight and freight lanes would be important. What good is paradise when you may have to dead head 2 or 3 hundred miles to come home or leave. Just a thought!

IF you are from Jersey and have established freight--that pyas well in/out now--then Florida is NOT as bad a spot as you might think---aas many on here have heard me say before--I was born and raised in FL--and lived there till 05--BUT--my last 2 trux--NEVER saw the state--even though they were both registered there--Still have 3 friends from there doing the same thing--2 good paying LTL rounds(both ways)Pa-Tx and back--then park truck--fly home to Fl for 3-4 days and back out--it is a more viable option than you think
    jus a thought.....

If you aspire to grow a small fleet and - thus - will need worker's compensation insurance in the future then consider the cost of worker's compensation in each state. South Carolina WC is fairly affordable. NC - where we are based - has VERY expensive WC.
