My ride is parked in the drive way. I spent most of the day washing her inside an out. When I do go out again, I will look neat in my air ride seat.
I think I will bring my trailer home tomrrow and wash it.

Ours has sat, until we went to the interview for Fox news.... bobtailing and announcing the strike every couple miles. It'll continue to sit for the week.
-
Sorry to hear about that.
NO, I will not haul NOTHING until it's affordable. -
I've been shut down for around a month or a little over and will be until fuel drops.

Not sure why you're here...probably won't be around much longer constantly harassing good folk. -
i believe the more that is spoken about what is going on will educate other members of the trucking industry and the general public, my option is that this strike for Vacation will not work for anybody or accomplish anything, i do think that the industry as a whole needs to be involved form the driver to company owners to the shippers down to the consumer. the government will not lower any fuel prices period... will never happen. i think that peoples actions should yield results, i think that that the owner operators should be hauling freight continuously but boycott the low paying freight. if everybody refuses the freight that pays less than $1 plus fuel surcharge (my surcharge is at 56 cents per mile) should pass on the freight, everybody's cost is different but refuse the freight paying 80 cents plus fuel and eventually the brokers, shippers and industry as a whole will get the message.

Personally, I won't go broke. I have built a very healthy savings account over the years. I know when to get out of a sinking ship. I had a Commercial and Home Improvement Business for many years and if I have to I will start back. Right now, I still do home improvements but I do not charge. It's my way of helping those less fortunate because of physical disabilities. Actually I just organize and pay for the majority of it. Although I do have a lot of others financial supporters and some who donate just labor or supplies. The Loggers that I haul for pay $ 4.25 per mile. One load every day gets donated by me to support what I do. Some of the loggers will even donate a whole load of logs or chips when I have a sizable project that needs to be done. Like indoor plumbing and bathrooms. Yes there are still folks having to live like that at least until I find out and can help them. So you see, I'll never go broke, the good Lord knows that I will not keep it all for myself. So don't worry yourself with what will happen to me. Think about all of the other drivers who you will have an effect on by being spineless. My Truck will not haul anything until something changes...period!

i applaud you.............. you now are an interesting person, my hat is off to you and what you do for other people, wish the more people in the world were like you. goes to show that savings and cost efficiencies have worked for you and you are one of the ones that should be educating other drivers on what has worked for you and your business. EDUCATION is what is needed, if all drivers where operating on the same principles our economy would not be in this recession.
