You also need to be studying your hazmat also, you will be needing it for dmv, not sure of the process, if you have to take MO test and then pay again for your state; or just take the test when you change your license over to your state???
Make sure you have a certified copy of your birth certificate for your passport, you could apply for that at your home state since they mail it to there.
PA website for hazmat has their manual in pdf form. It has a good format.
http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms/pa_forms_manuals/pub_288.pdf
You will also have to make sure your medical certificate is mailed/faxed to your state DMV, CDL unit each time so it doesn't lapse. The new laws.rsist34 Thanks this. -
rsist34 and NavigatorWife Thank this.

The hazmat endorsement cannot be transferred between states. Also, be careful of where you do your background checks... contacting the Homeland Security office that deals with hazmat background checks is a good plan up front. For example... a background check done in Texas can only be used in Texas, and the other 49 states won't accept anything done by Texas.
Do get your tanker endorsement... some of the liquid hazmat loads we pull are packaged in palletized totes that are large enough that it is illegal for you to pull them without it.rsist34 Thanks this. -
I plan on getting doubles/triples,tanker and hazmat. I already have a class B and only had to take combo to get a permit. But it seems I was premature since I've been told I'd have to get a MO permit

So if we already have a permit from our home state we'll still have to pay for a Missouri permit?

Wont need to get a MO permit -
