passingthru69 Thanks this. -
Hello Robert I run the first tri drive tractor allowed in the interior of british columbia Canada for logging. It is now 14 years old with 26,000 hours and 700,000 kilometers. that is about 420,000 miles. The biggest problem is not weight, they can do that. Not traction, they can do that. They are about 10 feet longer than a tandem. A set back steering axle is a must. Locking axles should be used to get out of trouble, not to get in. Chain up your front two axles on monday , and take them off on friday. ha ha Anything else?

Re lift axles. I heard tandems are going back to a dead lift second axle to improve weight limits. Any truth down south?

Passingthru69 - I saw on the form there are two items I'm don't recognize.
what is a purple load and what is a green load???
Thanks much -
I'm running a tri drive in B.C. On and off road. Ask away. "Lockers can get ya out of trouble, or they can get ya in"

Besides length , what are the technical issues with tri-drives as far as reliability/longevity etc?
