Ok,
Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but I'm sure someone will direct it to the right forum. (Not being sarcastic)
Wanting to move to the Pensacola Fl. "AREA" BY next December. I would like any recommendations for GOOD (LOL) trucking companies within an hours drive of the AREA. Would be willing to go as far east as Tallahassee, but prefer to "live" as close as possible to the water. As far west as Mobile (Alabama) for the right company. Would live in Florida though. (Taxes. Duh!)
Reason; No more complicated than this. We want to be close to the Kids and Grandkids. They all live in Alabama or Tennessee. Thats all!
When we were OTR we got to see them every 3 months or so. Now I'm doing mine work, which I like, no complaints. Drive for a good company and make very good money. However, now we don't go back east anymore, for obvious reasons.
Prefer Chemical or Fuel hauling as they would probably pay the best. But would consider, other options if the pay is right. Currently hauling Sulfuric Acid. Doing single and double tanks and like it. No issues.
I want to start putting in apps so I can be ready and have a job BEFORE we move.
Sooooo, any recommendations? Please no OTR companies unless only a night or two a week. I Like my wife!!! And really enjoy being "home" every night . If you know what I mean?
Thank you in advance!

Try Mckenzie tank line in Tallahassee but also have hubs all over the south.
All-American82 Thanks this. -
You could try Tennessee also, they do not have income taxes either. (OK, they have a 6% income tax on dividends and interest only.) You can look here for a list of companies in TN.

Me; "So, you would like me to run the Eastern seaboard?"
Them; "Yes, new driver, Exactly. The region we would have you run is as far east as the Atlantic Ocean, as far west as the Pacific ocean. No farther south than the Gulf of Mexico and of course we would only have you go as far north as the Canadian Border. UNLESS, you just happen to have your Passport. Then of course we would NEVER ask you to go as far as the North pole in winter, but OCCASIONALY in summer. That is our newly developed "Eastern Seaboard Region". And of course, Home every weekend!!!" -
Bulkmatic has a terminal in Mobile, AL. If you're looking to get closer to Tennessee, there's also terminals in Decatur, AL, and Nashville, TN.
