If we are stuck behind some one slower on a two lane road. we can kick it up to 70 to get around.
All our trucks are limited to 65 , for fuel mileage. I'm getting 7.2 on my current trip from Alabama to Tracy,Ca. With 43,000 lbs.

I got a brand new truck form Denzil in June last year, and got a old qc. That runs slow when trying to do anything with it. Think I will ask when I go in for e service , can I get a new one. Don't care about the navigation, but the new ones I belive are set up to scan paper work into the office,( if we drivers all convince them that's the wway to go)
Balakov100 Thanks this. -
No you're prolly right.
I didn't remember how many rooms. -
Been with them for two years. only one time they sent me a load that picked up in one of the bourghs, then before I could say anything, they snt a msg to me and said it's strictly voluntary if you wan tto go into the city. So I replied and said thanks but no I prefer not to do the city. They came back and said, ok, thanks. Never more ever said.
Inspector Gadget and beerslave Thank this. -
That is not the law yet. And no we don't do anything with it during the physical.

Sounds like your doing pretty good. Love the ice cream loads. I've don done this tour a couple of times.
Load out of Vermont, run that to Henderson, jump into so. Cal for a load going to Seattle,(pier 91 for Seattle ice house for trident seafood) reload in Seattle going to Minn. Get a load of turkey going to the east coast, then reload back in Vermont going west to either Henderson or Sikeston.foreverlearning Thanks this. -
Sitting at the other plant in Henderson right now....headed back to Indy(ish) then home from there....skibum_63 Thanks this.

Okay this brings up a question with elogs....how do you log that and not burn up the day for nothing??? Do you just log yourself in the sleeper when you get to a shipper just in case this occurs? Or can you "backtrack"? This is my only concern with elogs..."the nightmare scenario" I use elogs now but being a suicide jockey and home every night we just go home if we get delayed like that. Just curious....

Sounds like old school trucking...long runs...going everywhere! Could be worse...Beckham could be named Chesterfield lol. Looks like I am coming aboard next month!
chowick1966 Thanks this. -
As soon as you have arrived at the shipper/receiver you would generally drop it straight into sleeper, that way at least you can get somewhere to sleep if you have been held that long....I have been running elogs with different companies for around 3 years now and never really run into any big big problems.Inspector Gadget Thanks this.
