So here is my situation i live in fargo nd work for a guy who has 2 trucks. his partner also has 2 all end dumps. semis. work as sub contractors through knife river. have a dipacter who kinda runs us all. around 20 trucks in our fleet. getting sick of the kinda shotty way my boss goes about things. but he does always pay me on time. all last summer i was paid 17 an hour. and i was really good for just starting in gravel. this winter we hauled hopper bottems off and on locallly. so now im getting paid by % 25% of the load. should be makin around 1000 to 1300 a week this summer. if i make 7 loads some days will be 6. about a 15 hour day. now my dad is a farmer and has offered to help me buy my own truck and trailer. is it worth it? maintanece, and insurance, fuel, dot # and all that stuff. now i just show up and drive like hell.

what your general take on my situation?

I would say this just think after runnin for 14 hrs then you gotta fix whatever is broke or about to break that was always my thinkin on it but then again if you can get the same work he gets then you can make good money but stay on your repairs and all
