Has anyone every heard of a fuel Algae?

    Boats with diesels get it really bad... in marine applications it's not only common, it's an everyday problem. They have the best products for this bar none... go to a marina and inquire at the boat shop.

    new fuel isn't the problem
    I have had more problems in the 70's then I have had in the last 3 years
    last 3 years changed one fuel filter between service
    none on the reefer

    o yea my Tanks are covered in the bottom...I can move it around with a broom stick I thought it was paint spots but when i look it up it said it was a algae. The bad thing is I just bought this truck and have not work it in 3 weeks so far could not find the pro.. why it was cutting out change the fuel filter works awesome for 5 hrs lol....I;m hoping this may be the pro... and yep it is in the fuel filter housing..

    You're going to have to clean all that crap out, and use the algaecide product to kill the stuff. Probably going to be changing filters frequently for awhile...

    If you don't have that much fuel in the tanks, drain off all the fuel in them. The fuel is really garbage at this point, so your not really going to lose anything.
    Plus you can get rid of a lot of algae sludge. then start a treatment with clean fuel and filters.

    Just a suggestion you may want to consider. If you can find 100 percent bio-diesel fuel, try that mixed with the algaecide.
    Bio-diesel is an ester, a very good solvent indeed. It will really put a cleaning to the fuel system.

    I did this in my International. Worked better than a white tornado.......
