Why don't you explain to me what a slow truck is? Apparently the definition of a slow truck is one that doesn't tail gate, run's the speed limit and avoids collisions with others in the right hand lane. What is your big darn hurry to save a couple minutes? It's not going to change, I'm going to be out in that center lane. It has nothing to do with a slow truck, I just told you that i run the speed limit and keep a safe distance in the center lane, and your griping about that? "GOTTA GO FASTER! I'M IN A HURRY! MOVE IT 4 WHEELER! LET ME RIDE YOUR REAR AND BULLY YOU OUT OF THE WAY!" If I can't do the speed limit, then I'll be in the slower lane. I guess you don't care about me and have this "F that guy in that slow truck if he wrecks with merging traffic, I'm more important than him!" Not to mention, when I put my signal on to go from the slow lane to center lane, a good number of big trucks wont let me over.
So driver, what is a slow truck? How have you decided that I need to 'know' my place? What about cars that are 'slower than everyone else?' I'm just trying to figure out your logic. Basically, you want me to inconvenience myself so I can convenience you and put my safety in danger and everyone elses? Why not just be reasonable, "I'm moving, I'm doing the speed limit or close to the speed limit, we are going through the city, ok great."
My logic: You have THREE LANES of traffic on the interstate. The THIRD lane starts when you enter a BIG CITY. You have merging traffic coming on and many times the right lane turns into an exit only. If I'm doing the speed limit in the center lane, what is your problem? In an average of 10-20 minutes the interstate will fork over, or we will be out of the city and you can resume doing what ever you want to do. Plus:
Slowing down or taking your time in the right lane doesn't work out as planned. I don't know what the cars are doing or thinking, and they don't know what I'm doing. That is why we big trucks move over to let these vehicles on the highway to avoid collision. But, when it inconveniences you, you would rather put safety aside and be selfish. Ok, I got it.
Missouri bill would repeal truck lane restrictions

A slow truck is a slow truck. 63 and under. That's a slow truck. And if the speed limit is 65+ you shouldn't be anywhere but the right lane. Riding the middle lane is impeding the flow of traffic.
-
Even if the speed limit is that, I can't do it because traffic in front does not allow. Or, to maintain a safe distance I have to slow down. We are talking about congested areas. Just relax and slow your roll. Aren't we all in a hurry to go some where?
Bottom line, the speed limits in these cities where its 3 lane is typically 55-60. Fact, a speed limit if 65 with three lanes does not mean the middle lane is going to be doing 65. It's typically heavy traffic. If traffic is light than I will gladly be in the right lane so you can pass.
I think its a farce with your 'impeding the flow of traffic' by doing 63 in the middle lane. When cars cant get on the interstate, what happens? They come to a stand still, cars in the right lane have to slow or stop, then traffic in the middle lane slows down because cars jump out, or you get accidents. You need to get some patience. BE HAPPY if you are moving 55-63 MPH, be happy you're moving at all! When I get behind a big truck in the middle lane, I leave a good distance between me and that big truck, because I know there is probably traffic infront of him and passing him is just going to be futile.
You're just in a hurry to get into an accident. -
Its a "me me me" mentalilty. I think Jo Jo needs to slow his roll.......
-
Or get out of the way....

Like thats gonna happen. You must be one of those super truckers that ride my ### with their high beams on. How'd tbat " brake check" go, and did you bring an extra pair of tighty whitey's? Oh wait, I guess thongs are more easy to dispose of, so its all good...
-
Nope. I just politely ask you get out of the way. Not gonna risk an accident because of someone else's need to plug up traffic. It not I pass you on the right, which I shouldn't have to do but I guess you entitlement truckers just can't be courteous.

blocking traffic because of ME MEjoseph1135 Thanks this. -
Dude, your azzbackwards on so many levels. The function of this website is to encourage participants to efficiently trade information that leads to efficient operation for all. Just because 20 percent are unhappy the other 80 percent need to comply? You'll make your money when trucks fly. Till then, refrain from commenting until you have solutions to introduce. Silly boy!

That's what the megas have been teaching them. Years of hand holding in this industry has thrown common courtesy out the window. A race to the pilot with two slow trucks trying to pass one another for 15 miles for both to get off the same exit to then plug up the fuel island so they can go get something to shove in their mouths.x#1 Thanks this.
