Actually, I believe ship/receivers are required to have bathrooms. Some may have limited their use due to disgusting truckers. But Ive had no problems INSISTING on access - then again, I dont piss on the seat or smear feces while Im at it. The unisex bathrooms are a turnoff. Id rather piss in the middle of I-5 traffic during rush hour!
Secret parking spot no longer secret!

I have been pushed to the brink a great many times through the years, I even had a guy in NYC spit in my face once and I had to get physical with him, But the farthest thing from my mind was something like this. There is absolutely no excuse for this, this has always been a laid back place to do business for everyone concerned, that is what I liked about the place. Now it will NEVER be the same... I have no words to defend this... And I was always someone that was sent to problem customers pretty much everywhere that I have worked.Saddletramp1200 Thanks this.

I walked into a shipper/receiver with the paper work as the hubby was backing up to dock. I know my face fell when I saw the sign "no public restrooms", the lady behind the desk saw and said " Come on sweety, you can use our's." Their was a port-o-potty outside, My husband used that. I'd would have to be totally desperate and sick to use one. Most are so nasty it isn't funny.
A few places we went to they had to unlock and then they looked in after I or my husband walked out. I really can't say I blame a lot of places. Both the Wal-mart's I worked at ( 9 & 1/2 yr's total) I was in the Garden center, we had to clean the parking lot. I can't say we had a big problem with Truck Drivers, mostly at the places I worked we had to watch the RV'ers, cause they would dump their septic down the sewer. As both were rainwater run-off sewers Wal-mart would get fined for contaminates. Their were a few drivers that cause us to cuss them out, even if they weren't their. -
Here is an idea, do you at least patronize the place you are parking at? If so go in and ask permission and get permission to park there, then explain the situation you are worried about to the mgr. since it's their property, and if you explain the consequences of other drivers just parking there without permission then maybe they will be more diligent about making sure those trucks are not parked there and or wake them up in the morning and require them to pay. (They would need a sign like parking by permission only) all others will be towed, or have to pay a fee to be there that might elemenate part of the problem.

Hate to say it, but if I was you I would start looking for another hiding place, unfortunately, it will only be a matter of time before you can no longer park there.

The stages of truck parking
Stage 1: others find your free parking. Cleaning it up yourself does not help; it makes it worse. One truck wasn't a nuisance. Several are an eyesore. People a roaming around the area are a real concern.
Stage 2: Signs go up telling you not to park there. This is when the trucker bombs start showing up. The stupid among us take it is some sort of retaliation for the signs.
Stage 3: Fences, gates, poles, cinder blocks go up. Some drivers run these over.
Stage 4: Police are dispatched to enforce the problem. Other nearby parking spots are now under the same scrutiny. The rookie on night patrol has assigned himself as local DOT expert. He would rather be on the other side of town where the 'action' is. He makes the best of it. After catching a nap in you favorite spot, he is on full alert to try out his newly learned truck enforcement skill after you load is done. Log books anyone.Ann Eiffel Thanks this. -
Actually we are doing that on a limited basis... We're picking up aluminum cans and small mouthed water bottles... So far (after turned in for recycle) we've gotten back $31 ... Plus it gives us a reason to walk

And then we wonder why we're under video surveillance everywhere we go, including our own trucks...(it's coming like it or not, just like elogs).

I don't and I never will... I don't throw trash on the ground and contribute to that type of ignorance, I sure an the hell will not clean up after a bunch of grown Men and Women...Saddletramp1200, WitchingHour and Fatboy42 Thank this. -
I worked at a golf course that had John Daly pull his RV into the car parking lot for the day before he was due to play and either he or his driver quickly started dumping the sewage into the nearest drain. We did not see who did it but quickly could smell what was happening. Being the V.I.P guest he was at the time management was not game enough to say anything to him. Filthy pigs come in all types !Lady K and Toomanybikes Thank this.
