I was going to ask same thing. Just saw their ad on Craigslist.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Used to be one of the best companies in America. Keep in mind, it's a reefer outfit, so the time sensitive stuff on the long runs probably go to teams. That's a question you need to ask.
Do you have any endorsements? What is your location, state and neartest city; put location on your profile. -
Can you say "meat plants" ?
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Search these forums info is here i personally wouldnt recommend them but different strokes for different folks.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
They're on every Craigslist out there. Been around forever and had a associate that drove for them a short time. He didn't like it. Your gonna sit a lot as they are owned by National Beef. Meat plant rigamarow. Lol.

Try these companies that hire in Central Florida:
Heyl Truck Lines (excellent company, ad says 6 mos experience, but apply anyway)
Melton Truck Lines
Benny Whitehead Trucking (Eufaula, AL)
Lessors Inc.(Dover, FL)
United Van Lines (Tampa, FL)
Coleman World Group (Orlando - household goods movers)
McKesson Corporation (Orlando - medical supplies)
Beyel Brothers Inc. (Orlando)
Armellini Express (fresh flowers-teams & sometimes 3 drivers due to hard running)
Windy Hill Transportation ( Eustis - fresh flowers-lots of running between Florida & Wisconsin)
Florida Beauty Flora Transportation (Pierson, FL & Miami, FL - Reefers - flowers and other refrigerated freight)Last edited: Mar 28, 2014

Thanks a lot china town that just gave me a bunch of options
im interested in heyl just from what I've read on here.
ive heard of windy hill, do they run good?
and I'll pass on the house hold company's, my dad has been in the business for 30 years, his last company was united van lines for the past 12. And I worked as a helper with him and for the company on and off for 6 years. I like moving frieght, furniture is wayyyy too many headaches. -
One of the worst companies I've worked for. First, they don't qualify you until you show up and send a lot home during orientation. In my class, we started with 28 people and by the last day, only 12 or so were left. For me, I was lease to start with no force dispatch for me and no forced NYC for company. As soon as I turned down a NYC load, my dispatcher told me she would go out of her way to make me sit and she did. Longest time sitting was almost two weeks with no pay. When it comes to extra pay, ie breakdown, layover or even lumpar reimbursement, they rarely pay what they owe. After going four months without a paycheck, I was finally able to replace my dispatcher and change to company driver until I found a new company. My first full week paycheck as a company driver was $300. Their biggest problem is their meat plants. A load coming out 3-4 days late is common and, like I said, it's near impossible to get paid the detention. By the time I left, they owed me over $800 and, put a big $120 grand ding on my credit report for breaking my lease when they were the ones that broke it.
If you haven't been driving long, I would suggest one of the big starter companies before I would go to National; anything but them.T_TRUCKER⢠and Jenn317 Thank this.
