I always wanted to park my truck sideways in front of the fuel island, blocking all of the bays, and leave it there overnight just to see what drivers would do.
-
Yeah...Payback was a Mofo for that one.... -

I think I'll make an mre bomb from the case I some reason have in garage to throw in open windows of those idiots. Let's see who gets what I'm talking about.
Joetro Thanks this. -
I have a bunch of MRE heaters in my garage.........sounds like a good use for them

well I fill the tanks depends on no slow the pumps are, then pull ahead if I am just running in for a quick coffee and reciept, or park up if I plan to get food or anything else.

Looks like drivers won't make the best decision & move on. Sometimes Truck Stops don't work right. Their Not waiting on You. Never get below 100 gallons. You can freeze to death. Down South you just get wet & cold.

Two days ago, I got to deal with a brilliant driver from Swift at the TA in Troy, Illinois. Four pumps were blockaded, and four pumps were open. All four pumps had trucks at the pump, and from what I could see, nobody in the pay lanes. So, I pull up behind Swift because he's been there a while, and the pumps are hung up. I assume maybe he ran inside after fueling and still had someone in the paylane.
After a while, I call into the store to let them know that people need to go to the pay lane. Manager even comes out and tells Swift to move (a driver was in the truck). Driver moves forward to the pay lane. I talk to him, find out he's the trainee and his trainer just left him in the fuel island. I told him you don't park in the fuel island to take your break. He's obviously new. I call Swift to tell them that there drivers have no regard for anyone else. I see a guy come out, and the trainee is talking to him. I have fueled. I fix a clip on my farring that broke, and am sitting there, waiting to go. Still, not moving. His otrainee knows I'm behind him.
Finally, I go and talk to this truck driving savant, student opens the door. I ask if he can move. Trainer leans over from the passenger seat and says "Three minutes." I yell at him that you don't do a 30-minute break in the fuel island. He tells me off, and his student opens the door the rest of the way, I stop it. He gets mad and yells at me to 'take my hand off his door', he gets out like some big tough guy. Must not have realized how big I am. Comes around, stops, and swears at me he can do whatever he wants, tells me to back out of the fuel island if he's blocking me, bla bla bla. Goes back to his truck. I go back and call Swift on him. Swift's safety person is just loving this. Finally, trainee drives off after the three minutes were up, takes the tandems up and over the curb (all the way into the grass), trying to outrun me. Luckily they were going east/north.
Nothing more irritating than that. Turned what should've been 10-15 minutes on the log into a 45 minute ordeal with an idiot. -
SWIFT.....The only time it lives up to it's name....Is when their Steering Wheel Holders lost control running down Vail.....
