Most of the trucks at the shop I see are trucks waiting to be traded in. They have the stickers removed. They will be over at MHC soon. With the new 8000 series leases, they are trying to keep everything 4 years old and newer. T-680's keep rolling in.

I had a bad week look like my thread did to lol.

Was stuck in kenworth with a clog filter. It was just cleaned in December from what i was told it wasnt done proper so not sure what the bill will be for another few days.

So Monday late afternoon got out of shop dispatched on Tuesday Ks to Ohio. Delivered that load Wednesday.

Wed i went home and asked for dispatch following morning. There wasnt anything available till Friday. Great this isnt good. So i took a kentucky load to Mo . For a Saturday delivery. Got a choice for a Sunday pick up for Colorado or a Sunday pickup for Ohio for Tues delivery. Or final option Ks to Illinois.
Problem is im empty on Sat with 8 hrs available . There are no loads in Mo for a Saturday pickup. And if there was i guess there all preplanned out. So im stuck again i can pick up the illinous load on Sat but it doesnt deliver till Monday . Not gonna make any money on the Denver load i would make more on the Illinois its lighter so the revenue will be better. So i took the Illinois. Only because the revenue made would be more .

Total miles this week 1954. Total days in shop 3.

Im doing recap all week so , it hasn't been great. My fuel gauge is off by a quarter so it's messing with my conscience . My steering wheel is off to so when I go straight truck goes way left lol. I managed 2550 this week so a profit of 1400. Staying consistent with speed control. Trying to get 8mpg. Still getting 7.2.

pete387, or anyone as far as that goes......

Question. How can a L/P with a company that doesn't offer a true lease (by definition) be better? If you have a 10% buy out vs. a true lease, which is, again, by definition, is $1.oo Buy Out. What makes it better? What are depreciation values and years? What is ACT's overall benefit to lease?

Just a question.....L@@king to L/P myself soon and picking brains of those that have......:)

If you wanted a dollar buy out then got to JCT. ACT isnt like other BIG carriers . They're straightforward with the presentation with no BS. You can go lease with the BIG carriers if you want but you won't get a 1.00 mile to many places . You can't deprciate a lease truck anyway. Unless u finaced it through a finacial institution.

I don't understand your post here......$1.oo buy out is a "true lease" not a balloon. So why can't you deprecate a L/P on a truck???? So are you saying if you go to other companies that offer a $1.00 buy out on a lease you cant get a min of $1.oo per mile???????????????........Can you make money with a L/P at only $1.oo/mile???? I was under the impression that counting ALL cost, fixed and unsubsidized cost would be around $1.05/mile at the min...In order to make any money a L/P would have to make at least $1.50 to the truck? Am I understanding??????

    Pardon my ignorance and confusing
