Im out here in Kuwait now and the price per liter is .060fils. Which amounts to, accourding to my conversion chart, to .225cents per liter which in the end is 83cents per gallon. Just think, we could be just like that if we slapped a few of the greenies across the head and tapped into our resources!! Makes me sick to think we are at the mercy of the people!! :biggrin_25510:

$0.12 a gallon in Venezuela, what percentage is that of an average wage?

    U.S. per capita GDP $43,600
    Venezuela per capita GDP $6,900

How many people own cars in Venezuela anyway?

Lets look at why in Iraq and surrounding areas are so cheap. What does it cost to pump that oil from Saudi Arabia to the US and trucked to a gas station? Heck if i could drill in my back yard my gas price would be cheaper. Most countries out there have been more expensive than us for YEARS and we really have no room to complain!

I believe it's more the fact that they are trying to find every way they can to control every nation in the world. You know they would love nothing more than to make us all bow down to them, follow only their religion, and only their laws.

Basically, it's all still a holy war. Our government talks about separating church and state, and all the crap they've done to take the name God out of everything so as to be "politically correct". At the same time, they're sending our troops over there to die in what is a holy war between two different branches of religion.

So here we are still, hundreds of years later embroiled in "holy wars" which were being led by other countries before the US was formed. Now it's the US leading the push into them. Not so much trying to convert people or they have to die mentality, but embroiled in them none the less.

I look at it this way, it's their religion, their war, and if they want to kill each other over it, have at. But I don't see why we should get involved in it. No one is twisting their arm and forcing them at gunpoint to convert to Catholic or Christianity. At least not from the states. That used to happen hundreds of years ago. Like the Crusades, or the Spanish Inquisition for instance. But I think most people are beyond that now. Most of us realize that it has to be your choice, not someone elses as to what religion you choose to follow.

We dont? I beg to differ. We could be drilling off our own coast for oil and opening new refinerys to produce fuel but the tree huggers have some kind of hold on the federal government! Your right, prices have been high in other countries for a LONG time. They didnt just get hammered out of no where like we did! So I say yes we do have plenty of room to complain!

Hi folks, It looks like alot of the countries with the $6/gal stats are fairly small. If you took a 3-day road trip in Japan, 2.5 days of it would be IN the ocean. The low prices are an indication of what our prices could be closer to if we get the enviro-nazi laws out and get up to what should be our normal production rates.
About this all being a holy war...that is exactly right. But do not make the mistake of thinking we can just let them fight it out amongst themselves. WE are thier enemy-by thier definition. Any non-muslim is an infidel and has a choice of two options. 1) convert to islam or,2) die. There is a saying in islamic circles in the middle east,"We'll get the saturday people first ( the Jews) and the sunday people second (the Christians). Golda Mier said " There will never be peace until they love thier children more than they hate us".
I urge my fellow drivers to pay attention to some of the "politically-correct" crap that folks like the aclu and some of the super-libs are pushing. With the immigration thing wide open and allowing nut-case lawsuits. (remember the "Flying Imams"?) they are actively trying to sue the airline and the passengers that complained. This is paving the way for more protection for muslims, including the extremists,to conduct anything they consider "normal religious activity". Like 9/11.

Not only do most countries out there have higher fuel which has sky rocketed just like ours, they have had to deal with the Euro change (most people changed the symbol not the price) for example when the Euro first came out I lived in germay where you could get a head of lettuce for 50 pffenig (old germany cents) and after Euro came into place it costs 50 Euro Cents (double) for lettuce. And to top that all of Germans get taxes almost 50% of their wages! Lets compare apples to apples, who really has it worse?

Besides do you really think a rag head really gives a crap if we are striking for fuel to go down? Nope!

I have no problem with drilling off shore, Alaska, etc. etc. but we all know the stupid tree huggers won't stand for it, so we have to deal with it.
