I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap when I was there. Not a big fan of wraps, but that one was pretty good.
Space Aliens... being off the road, probably wouldn't appeal to me as much now, but I appreciated the change of atmosphere. First time I went there, I was delivering a load from Southwire to West Fargo, and I had to sit in Fargo all weekend, so I decided I was going to have a beer or two. I wasn't driving anywhere. Well, when it's located as conveniently as that...
Never did go to the J in Fargo. I was running for a fleet owner leased to CRST Malone, and they had the discounts at TA/Petro for fuel (later on, they obtained a similar deal from Loves).
Chinese food can be a bit of a gamble for me. Sometimes, it has no effect. Other times, I can put a set of eight inch straight pipes coupled to a big Cat engine to shame.

    Chinatown and MJ1657 Thank this.

Definitely. At my shop, one of the places featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives in Denver is located close by.. Tocabe.. they do Indian (Native American Indian, not Indian Indian, although good places serving that can be found here, as well) food... fry bread tacos, stuffed fry bread.. entrees run $7 - $9... choice of chicken, beef, or bison meat... really good stuff, and much different from what you find on the road, or what these drivers order carry-out to the lounge. Yet, when I recommend it to the drivers (we have a company van that drivers can take out), more often than not, they'll find some excuse not to go, and they'll just take the van to go to Wal Mart and the usual pizza place, Chinese food carry-out place, or fast food place.
    Well, their loss, I reckon.

What the hell is wrong with them????

Its like when you go to some fair or festival that offers awesome unique food and there's a fast food or something similar stand and the line is a mile long. I don't get it.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. We have Taste of Colorado every August here in Denver, and there'll be both unique restaurants and major chains which set up stands there. For me, it's great, because they come from all over Colorado... this isn't a good state for barbecue, but there is a place in Grand Junction which does it right, and of course I never go to Grand Junction, plus Spice Island Grill from Colorado Springs sets up a stand there... great Jamaican place... but I don't live in Co. Springs anymore and only go there for my run from Co. Springs to Kremmling (third year making the run for this guy on the side... gotta get a little wheeling in still... I need my fix, you know?), so I can get jerk pork or jerk chicken when they're at ToC... unfortunately, they don't bring their mac n' cheese with them (their mac n' cheese is to die for).
But, yeah, some people just won't get out of their comfort zone. Guess it's the same reason people are content to remain driving for these big box carriers with their slow trucks, Qualcomms, e-logs, etc...

That post wasn't directed at you I should have quoted witching hour.

I have to agree I don't mind a long walk to get decent food and drink.

10-4 a long walk when sober is a short walk when feeling "bubbly" ... A mile at slow pace is 15 minutes at MAX so if you can walk anything within a mile or less is a go to for me...
