I am looking to purchase a used truck for bush\oilfield work and was looking at a 2004 VHD. I am most familiar with Kenworth and know that they stand up very well in the bush. The dash in the VHD wrapped towards the driver so I wondered if it would shake apart because of the weight. Any info is appreciated.
How tough is the dash in a VHD?

I have vnm which I believe is the same dash. I've had the truck for a month and it has shaken loose just from the potholes in Michigan. Hope this helps answer your question.

Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated.
It reminded me of the dash in the Mack or even a Sterling and they are prone to shake to pieces after a few years.
I've driven a few of those and was appalled at the rattles and cracks -
better thn freightliner anyway, good enought
