APU is a small diesel motor that run's your AC, heater, keep's your batteries charged, so you don't have to Idle the truck. Which in some places you can't do.MrBolton88 Thanks this. -
My bf started out with Boyd after school and has had no complaints at all. He has had constant miles. Trucks have apu's, training is 7 wks long plus orientation and 1 wk additional securement training paid at $500 a wk), tuition reimbursement at $150 a mth, and in our case good about his home time. If he wants home for the weekend he's here.
I dont know much about what your home time would be like but I know my bf has done many loads into and out of NC. Good luck with whatever company you choose.MrBolton88 Thanks this. -
