This will be my last post on this subject. I am at home now. Nothing against Prime, it's training or it's employees. Trucking is just not a lifestyle I choose now. One of the nice things I like is, you get to go out on the road in the real world for a few weeks with your instructor. After a couple of weeks, if you decide, this isn't a job for you, then you can call them, and they tear up the contract, and charge you nothing. I don't think it can be any more fair than that. If I decdie to try it again later, Prime will take me back, no questions asked.
I have another thread going..."the road is a harsh mistress".. I will be posting more of my thoughts there. Thanks all for reading, and fell free to ask questions here....I will check back often and answer what I can.

i have a garmin 330 it does work for trucks but you cant relie on them you must learn how to properly read a map /. use your map frist check out the routes see if theres anything that would stop you from going that way. i use gps mostly as a guide i will never trust them to route me remember they dont no about restricted routes or low over hangs. i hear that some of the laptops have real good mapping in them for trucks but i wouldnt trust them etheir. im just old school learn the highways over time and go .also if they send you routing and it dont look right its probly cause it aint.i get bad dirrections alot on the qaulcom . otheir thing i do call the shipper / receiver and ask if im coming from here will this work or is there a better way.

Sorry to hear that Larry. Yea, it's a business that'll either make ya or break ya and it's not for everybody.
Paul, you can't really ask for a trainer. You have to take who they give you. On that site is only a few of many trainer's. Now unless one of those guy's agree's to take you on then you really can't ask for one by name. The $240 is an advance for you to live on when you start your 100/hr with your instructor. You get this $240 advance every week on your ComData card. You have a choice of taking it. If you take it, and you don't even have to take all of it if you don't want but anything you take on that advance will come out of your check at a rate of $25.00 a week. The part I don't remember is if they take it after your upgrade to A seat or if they start taking it during your 60/80,000 miles with the trainer.
I really like the way all of this sound's. Only down part is I hope it doesn't take them forever and a day to get loaded and unloaded eating up driving time. -
i was kinda new, on the other site thought it was like yahoo messanger in a way u click on one name talk to them or send them a im and go to another what i did not know at the time was when i clicked on a name it went to everyone so i appologized for that walcrawler told me the same ill get up thee and do what is needed and then hopefuly wont have to wait to long for a train.
