I tried running interstate in Australia for a year for a crazy mob who governed their trucks to 90 kmh (about 55 mph). I was running about 550 miles a day 5 or 6 days a week. In the end it was just too much. If I could have gone faster I could have got much more rest/shorter days. This company loses a lot of drivers due to this madness. It was all double highway between capital cities, overnight express. Lucky we can drive for 14 hours a day here.

I know..right? "We" could be the strongest group in the Country if we could have any unity at all.... on anything...But it seems "we" prefer to be a disorganized "mob"..Which of course the goobermint cannot help but to "love".. In a "I'm gonna give you a beating anytime I feel like it" kind of way..

Less than 2K signatures in almost month's time?
Looks like the majority do not agree with your sentiments

Yeah I'm not signing that garbage. It's pointless for a couple reasons:

    A) Companies will CYA and install them mandated or not, as you can already see.
If the company has Elog, the rate of inspections have dropped on those companies - PROVEN FACT

    B) They will be mandated at the Federal Level soon anyways, whether you like it or not - pucker up for a jamming up yer arse :)

Unity at the expense of informed consent is not unity but a herd instinct. Some of us have made an informed decision to not do or do some things that the general union mindset crowd would not go with. Sometimes, it is based on the plausible effectiveness. Will this do what most seem to think it will, even with 100,000 signatures? Highly doubtful. That is why I target my efforts towards my hired help that I pay to represent me in D.C. It may not get the desired results either, but the odds are much greater that it will. And even if it doesn't get what I want on one issue, by building a relationship with my elected folks in the process may get the next issue swung the way I think it should go. Too many folks think short term. In political issues, you have to think long term.
