Been with these people since November and am driving my 3rd tractor from them. I did not want the first due to it was an automatic & they make me VERY uncomfortable! I got upset about that truck (my oops) but I reminded them that I 'had asked BEFORE' joining them to have a 10 speed & 'not' an automatic and they said OK - but here I was with this. I got the 2nd tractor after I delivered the first load & drove back to Chicago with NO load (??). When I got there the company guy I deal with took me to the garage & pointed out a COMPANY truck being emptied out by this dirty looking dude who "smokes." I asked that dude IF he was cleaning out the truck & he said, "Hell no NOT HIS job!" I asked the company guy that I deal with to clean it and HE SAID, "Hell NO he NEVER cleans out trucks because 'ALL' truck drivers are dirty, nasty people and that HE would bet me that I was exactly the same! IF I did not take that truck then NO JOB, go away, I am too difficult & ask WAY TOO MUCH!!" I was in the middle of planning HOW to get home when that company guy came back "2 hrs" later & asked, "WHAT am I doing?" I said, "Leaving!" "He said - WHY, you do not want to work!" and "I reminded him that he TOLD ME to go!" "He said you have a load ON YOUR truck -what should happen now?" "I called him an ### & took that dirty truck & left with it!" WE have had too many words since this!! "I DID NOT WANT - a "load abandonment" put on MY license!!

The 2nd was a "basket case" on tires and I have the paperwork to prove it! It should have NEVER left Chicago in the first place & from what I learned later with ALL the repairs done at International in Florida & most done at International in Macon, GA (7 pages worth), and the 4 times it HAD TO be towed! Then later (10 days worth of SITTING & waiting on it!) I was to take a load to Chicago to have THEM look at the truck - it "BLED" antifreeze/coolant ALL the way back there - 25 gallons worth to get it up there!! When I had gone to 'pick-up' a load down the street it started "eating" antifreeze AGAIN & I was ""switched out"" to the next truck - SIGHT UNSEEN or checked or verified by anyone!! Told to take the load & GO at 7 pm!!!

The 3rd that I have right now HAS electrical problems just like the 2nd (died 3x so far) besides the APU/Jet Pack that was NEVER repaired correctly "in THEIR garage" in Chicago! Several hours AFTER THEY fixed the APU/Jet pack - it DIED in Elkhart, IN & had to be SEEN by the Thermo King guy in Elkhart! Then was completely stripped out & fixed a few weeks later at a Thermo King in MD! Or the time that I went to Chicago for work on this truck (needed a full alignment done a week AFTER I got it - funny NOT checked before I got it!?) then about a week or so later I decided to check the oil due to the pressure seemed low & the truck kept heating up & straining A LOT going up mountains. I found out that there was "4 & a half" gallons MISSING! NO it was not leaking or burning it from what I could see over the next "week" of looking & checking! I HAVE NEVER had a truck come OUT of a company repair shop & be LACKING SO MUCH oil or leaking!! Also - AFTER just leaving Chicago for break check/repairs, they squeal a bit (?? - they only looked at them & said NEXT time we will replace things?) - I drove off with the 'load' that THEY REFUSED to switch out from me (I HAD THAT load from pick-up to delivery for 12 days!! AND he said, "I WILL NOT be paid ANY detention for it either!!") - as I drove away from Chicago & was entering South Dakota with my son (they let me take him?? - yet THEY are charging me $150/wk insurance??) and we heard an audible dull popping sound like something came loose in engine compartment by the firewall and then I saw my oil gauges (engine oil & oil reservoir gauge) sink down to almost nothing!! I pulled over in a small town truck plaza for the night & checked - but saw NOTHING wrong. A Sheriffs officer that pulled in later told me that there was a town truck repair a short way down the street. In the morning I went there & the manager was a 'blessing' - he let HIS repair guy look at the truck (for free) for a half hour & HE found NO harm. BUT what was the loud sound & WHY did the gauges show NO oil??

I have pleaded AND begged them to 'give me' a break down of MY PAY & "I WAS" sternly talked to about slugging - delaying asking for NEEDED things (???? WTF)!! I have asked for this since December and had been getting NO response. I JUST GOT THEM '2 weeks ago' AFTER I told the bosses WIFE that ALL of this is complete BS and too much MISS-management goes on around this company!! WELL - I ""NEED"" a good lawyer & not sure where to get one! As I stated above - I am being 'charged' $150/wk for insurance (?? - I AM NOT trying to buy this crappy truck - I am company driver), there are too many times that loads ARE not correctly counted & I am being paid for them, and then there are confusing mentions of "truck REPAIRS" - WHY this is a COMPANY truck and ""ALL"" expenses are to be theirs alone!! Especially since THEY do not seem to "correctly" go over any & ALL trucks that come into the yard & find and fix needed items OR look to "see" if there are ANY damages that NEED to be noted!! SO - "WHY" are THEIR TcH's - paid to companies for truck repairs & all lumper TcH's noted on "MY" pay break down sheets. ALL that should be on these papers are ONLY the loads that I ran, dates of the loads, 'pay' for: mileage to load - deadhead, loaded miles, extra stops & all detention pay, and the dates that the money WAS paid to me!! These are a mess!

Also - when I started working for them THEY stated that I could do 'direct deposit' (easier) OR be paid by paper check. THEY seem miffed about having to send a paper check to the house!! I DO NOT see why - I was given a choice and it only takes a minute to WRITE OUT a check & mail it! (I decided back in December that something about them seemed odd - especially AFTER the way I got that 2nd tractor & did not feel comfortable giving them MY bank information!)

Oh boy, Welcome to Chicago trucking industry... I'm guessing the pay was 10-99 and the insurance they MAKE you pay for weekly is accidental which makes them avoid paying workmans comp cause on 10-99 your independent? I work for a company in Chicago and go round trip from Chicago to West and back.. Not the best but without a doubt not the worst by a long shot... Its owned by a polish guy ( I'm a white American ) I don't get referral bonus or anything like this but if you wanna know the company name private message me... We get paid on w-2 and they do a background check...

What would make anyone think that this would be a good company to work for? I don't get it...a blind monkey could drive down any interstate and figure it out.

Lol looking at their website they don't have a single American name anywhere in there. Just a bunch of Boris, Ivan Tatiana, etc etc

Seems every story about a Chicago based trucking company reads exactly like this.

So you drive a truck for "a week or so" before you check the oil level. You may not drive for the best employer, but if you look in the mirror I sure you will find your biggest employment problem.
