That's a good question! How about the otherside? Can you go three to four weeks living in a truck 24/7, living off Truck stop food? It is getting more and more expensive living on the road. Truck Stops will nickle and dime (5 and 10 Dollars) for you just to step in for a cool drink and a snack! I can blow twenty to thirty-dollars a day easy. Make a budget and stick to it otherwise your check will look like squat! If you work hard and your making good money you want have time to do much but drive, eat, sleep and it is real easy to let some of that hard earned cash slip through your fingers when you sit down hungry and tired.
Ps; Sleeping at a Walmart Superstore and eating out of can will ease the cost of living if you have a cooler and a food warmer in the truck.Fuffster Thanks this. -
It's all about me now in my life. Don't need home time and very little time off. I don't eat breakfast or lunch. And I only eat dinner if im not to tired and it's not to late. Just looking for a company that will give me the miles and keep me working. I have a felony conviction that's 10yrs old. I know that alone makes it that much harder to find a decent company. gotta pay my dues first as they say, then work my way back to the top. Anything bad about prime.

Do you currently hold a CDL Class A?

Hey Dusty Road. I was gone for awhile. I have my permit from Cali DMV. Got it last week. I couldn't believe I passed all those tests after more than 23 yrs since I last took it.

I see their trucks being "pulled around back" nearly every time I'm through any Virginia scales. Not sure what's up with that other then perhaps they didn't "grease the right wheels" or one of their drivers really pissed off some high ranking VA politician.

How do they keep finding things wrong with binoculars and why would they always send trucks up/down 81 overweight? I think weight is what is getting them drawn in, but WHY? Why run through there if they know weight is an issue? Or do they TRULY hire the "slow ones"?
