    Start where you stand and never mind the past,
    The past won't help you in beginning new,
    If you have left it all behind at last,
    Why, that's enough, you're done with it, you're through;
    This is another chapter in the book,
    This is another race that you have planned,
    Don't give the vanished days a backward look,
    Start where you stand.
    The world won't care about your old defeats
    If you can start anew and win success,
    The future is your time, and time is fleet
    And there is much of work and strain and stress;
    Forget the buried woes and dead despairs,
    Here is a brand new trial right at hand,
    The future is for him who does and dares,
    Start where you stand.

    Old failures will not halt, old triumphs aid,
    Today's the thing, tomorrow soon will be;
    Get in the fight and face it unafraid,
    And leave the past to ancient history;
    What has been has been, yesterday is dead
    And by it your are neither blessed or banned,
    Take courage, man, be brave and drive ahead,
    Start where you stand.

    I've been with Freight Exchange(F/X) since 2012 so I can offer my opinion on the current state of the company. First, the current mileage pay is 93 cents per mile/85 cents per mile if the load picks up and delivers in Texas. The fuel surcharge fluctuates around 41 cents per loaded mile and they now have a 6 cent per gallon discount that gets paid every month as a fuel rebate reimbursement.

    Second, most of the trailers are newer 2013/2014 Utility trailers w/ side skirts that get regular maintenance. If there is damage on the trailer, it was caused by driver neglect or incurred it while it was in Mexico.

    Third, most loads have over 600 miles if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone of being out for about a week. I now focus on trying to improve my fuel economy by running 60 mph and taking it easy over hills so getting over 3500 miles a week no longer bothers me. I'm averaging about 3000 weekly and doing just fine financially.

    So you drive 60mph to compensate for the mileage rate being so low? Sorry but defending them by saying it's 93 not 83 is like saying DOT only gave me 2 tickets instead of 4!
    It still sucks.

    Sounds like that rate is for intrastate loads in Texas. As for the FSC, it should be 100% to who pays the fuel bill. No questions.

    I finally saw the light and quit running mileage. I do percentage now, make two. sometimes three times more for half the miles..

    Mileage doesnt pay what we are worth.

    I know my numbers regarding revenue so I can budget for anything. The company treats me good so I don't see a reason to chase so-called greener pastures elsewhere. There's more to trucking than just money/miles.

    I don not know about the rest of you but i don't run for less than 1.45 at any given time and we have good miles to run you were very you wont to go. The staff is always nice and professional to me and my wife when we need to call in for anything. This was THE BEST decision that i could have make for my future. If you like miles and miles and being totally in charge i suggest given them call or go to their web site. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Muddrunner1
