Bullhaulerswife, if you dont mind my asking what was the most difficult part of getting your oun authority?I keep thinking that is the only way to go. I left my job to stay home with our child, so the idea is that I would go to the loadboards and dispatch from home. I am not sure about the ins and outs of all the laws, but anything has to be better than what we havr experenced so far.

So it cost us about $350 for the lady to do the paperwork, $300 for the MC# and $1700 for base plates. Then you top that off with $1600 to get your insurance started. There are other small fees involved, but they didn't add up to more than $100 all together.
I would suggest that you find someone to help you with this. After all, you are dealing with Government regulations. And the $350 was worth it, saved me $500 in the cost of asprins! -
I didnt realize there were sorces that would do it for you but I should have realized. I have another question if you dont mind. In the past I have tried to locate hair stylist in my area that could donate my hair to lol. Was unable to do so. My hair is now three ft and I am ready for a change. Glad to receive any info.

Click the link in my Signature. I believe that they have a list of participating salons on there, if I remember correctly. I used my usual gal. And mailed it myself. Its a good thing your doing. -
Insurance can be tough and expensive, depending on your CDL experience. OOIDA offers insurance if you have 3+ yrs exp. Oklahoma Truck Plate processed my paperwork for authority. Something nobody has mentioned, unless you factor your invoices ie; payday loan, you will need to have enough of your own money to operate for 30-45 days until the money you earned starts to roll in. Now is a tough time to start your own company, however you should be able to buy tractors and trailers for a discount. -
i am a ooida member, when i got my operation authority and was looking for insurance they wouldn't sell me any. was mad then, but now i'm glad they didn't.all the trucking companys they have sued will not do business with u if u list ooida on anything
