I am sure somewhere on here there has been a discussion on this but I can't find it.I was checking into the the owner operator start up services, they handle and assist with starting a trucking company.I was wanting to know if anybody has used one and which if any would they recommend. Also has anybody used Legal Zoom for forming an LLC?

LegalZoom was quick and easy and saved time for us. Even though we could of done it ourselves we went with LegalZoom

You might also consider NASTC. They have various departments that will assist with everything, a great fuel card, can offer insurance, as can OOIDA, where I got mine. I used both OOIDA and NASTC and muddled through some things on my own in getting started (last summer) and both have been helpful. Might depend too on whether you plan on growing, getting more trucks, or just have the one truck. NASTC might be better if you plan on expanding, OOIDA if you just have your one truck....imo.

I started the process with Legal Zoom,After about three weeks I have cancelled them. They have terrible customer service. They filed my company address wrong I notified them about it on there web site thinking they would correct it.The web site states they will contact you within one business day, well it took a week and then they told me I would have to contact the state and IRS to change it myself!.this after I paid them around $600.00 to do it.The services that they claim you will have access to all cost extra, and then you have the sales people calling you to sell them. That was my first mistake at being an owner operator.

You can't learn if you don't make mistakes. I'm sorry it didn't work out with LegalZoom. Did you email them or call them. Times like these is when you actually pick up the phone and call it makes everything quicker.

When we used LegalZoom it was very quick, very easy, and not a headache at all. I'd still recommend them to anyone

I used RGRTim start up service and kept the much needed money in my pocket. There is no reason to pay someone to fill out a form that you can very easily fill out yourself.
