I have a gap in my employement for 10 months due to a back injury a couple years back, should I tell the trucking company that I had an injury or keep it under wraps just say I was unemployed. I know a back injury might be a red flag.

Get a note from the Dr. that says you are fit for work. I fractured L4 and had a note. Showed the companies and never had an issue.

then describe the gap as unemployed as there is not a record of the injury.i agree w/you that it could be a red flag.it is not as if you are lying because you were unemployed.

Was it filed on WC? If so you might better report it.

Quickly, check your pulse. Do you have one? If the answer is yes then you are qualified. You have to understand that anyone looking for a job is unemployed. All you have to do is say, I was unemployed for the past 10 months. Why? Because you were looking to find yourself. Just as long as someone can verify where you were, you are okay. That includes being in Jail. They are not looking for anything other then that. No one is here to judge you. They are here to make money off of you. Without drivers trucking companies are just big parking lots. They need you.

Since there's no record of it, better keep quiet. You were unemployed and looking for full time work. Ask any trucking company what verification they need; "notorized letter signed by family member" etc.

    Do you have a CDL?
Do you want trucking company CDL school?
    Where is your location; city/state?

I had years of unemployment to explain over the past decade (I claimed full-time father). Don't sweat it, seems companies just have to ask as a CYA measure due to federal regulations.

My Idiot, hate this, Idiot, Doc says there is no back X ray. I lost one truck over it. Can't pass Med, sorry. Not true. Insurance dropped me. Can't dispatch to you. No Mega Company will. Lost my truck. Took a 19,000.00 hit. Was lucky. I run on MY OWN Numbers. At first I was sore, Now I think it rocks! Don't need to be perfect, just really good. Don't really care for Western Star, but it's what I have to make a living with.
Sorry, not. Got to load, & them Peaches are time loaded. Monkeys can haul Frozen. Zero or KLLM can fix it.
2300 lbs less. Heavy truck. Made for heavy haul. Profit is big things. This is no line truck. Love me or Kill me.
