We have many discussions on this forum
Do a google search on the subject and you will be surprised
I think Exxon made record profits of around 40 billion but payed 70 billion in taxes.
So when they get 12 billion tax relief its almost nothing
I agree the prices of fuel are scary
I think the oil companies are being screwed with all the taxes they pay, they are forced to pass down the taxes via the pump -
Ohhh My God ....You got to be kidding me....
Did you know that Exxon never paid for the Clean up in Alaska...
I really think that you need to research that over again...
Why would they pay 70 in taxes on 40? That just does not make any sense at all -
Here is a post the gives a link for their financials
http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...exxon-mobil-40-6-billion.html?highlight=exxon
Its the oil business they are taxed like crazy for the right to earn a profit, in turn being able to pay out that profit to their share holders. Which could be you
I understand your frustrations
But getting caught up in the Passion of the moment and calling for a symbolic lynching isn't the answer
Go look up their financials, interesting stuff -
You know..It is not just the Truckers suffering from all of this..What about people that have to heat there homes with the stuff..
What about the Farmer that has to run his Equipment on the stuff
Lot of them on fixed incomes..Ether it is food or heat for lot of these folks..
I do not know where you got your info from and I really do not care to read propaganda like your trying to fill me with..I am not going to buy into that whats so ever.. -
Its a link for you to research, publicly published financials
Hey I can give a link to a stock broker, buy stock and share in the wealth
Now if we could just bring them taxes down that would help allot -
Now its for the farmers, fixed incomers, etc. ?
Farmers are big boys and they can strike on their own, they are a completly different story because they get paid a wee bit different then us. Should they strike? Heck ya, but why should we strike for them? There is more than enough farmers out there to strike and make a difference by themselves.
Fixed incomers should have invested or planned their retirement better, and they need to figure it out on their own.
And even better you are trying to pursade me and others about the "oil companies greed" but yet someone gives you some very informational and true facts about them and you refuse to read it or "buy into" the truth. -
You just can't comprehend that it is effecting everyone now do you.. But you have been in business now for 3 years and you just know it all....LMAO:smt120:smt120:smt120
And your comment about the fixed incomers is a joke as well..Not everyone has a silver spoon....
Lot of these fixed incomers might not have had a retirement plan offered where they work..Or they might have fallen on hard times for what ever reason...But you got all the answers..And a lot of the retirement plans were not disigned for todays needs..:smt033
This is effecting everyone...Bottom line please understand that..Economy is going down the drain.
You say Farmers are big boys and they can strike on there own...I think..They should team up with anyone that uses Diesel and gas..And strike with everyone else.
Face it people are losing there job's in all trades -
Your right there..And bring down the cost of fuel is another one..I do not feel sorry for the Oil Company's
Bring down the taxes on the working people and let the corporation's soak up the rest -
Well I guess you could live in a cabin in the mountains, with a ton of ammo, some dynamite, A 20,000 gallon tank of diesel fuel, a generator, lots of spare parts, and tons and tons of dried meat, beans and rice.
Still you would have to defend yourself from the starving hoards of people looking for food
