Don Lacy gone?

I seem to recall reading that he retired. Been in the biz some 50 years I think (but I AM relying on memory here....).

the guy had 50 years in the business dealing with drivers. Even if he only dealt with a handful of drivers like you over his entire career, he earned his retirement.

 

Prime was a better place,

when Don was the head honcho.

Seriously? We had retirement cake last week. He conducted his last safety meeting the Friday before that. He worked right up till his last day.

There certainly HAS NOT been a rash of safety incidents since he retired for you to speculate on the what kind of job the current safety director is doing. If you can name that person. I'm not aware that it's been announced.

Don Lacey is a legend in the trucking industry. No one knows more than him. I hope he enjoys a well deserved retirement

 

I stated head honcho, as in running the company, not just safety.

 

I remember when Don Lacey walked into orientation and gave all of us his cell phone number. Told us if we ever needed anything not to hesitate to call. I thought WOW. How many big wigs of any large company give out there cell to a classroom full of new recruits.
