lol! I'll make sure I do that. I stayed away from them as much as I could during training. They got a few guys alone and harped them about leasing. Out of 14 me and 1 other guy haven't. They are good at what they do I'll give them that.

I seen on Trans-am Facebook page pictures of a lot of drivers showing there lease agreement paperwork
and their truck.
i always hear don't lease and I understand a little about it but have not really checked into it because so many people say don't lease.
Can someone here tell me the basics of a lease and why it is such a bad idea. Are there any people on here that are happy with a lease. -
Anyone new to trucking should not lease, period. Make sure it's for you and you want to do it before you have such a big load on your shoulders. This is my personal opinion though.HometimeQueen Thanks this.

yes that is what I have always heard but just wondered why Trans Am has so many lease drivers on the Facebook page.
-
they put lease guys on facebook as more propaganda
you need to get 3100 miles every week to get the same pay as a company driver
if truck breaks down there goes your check
no taxes taken out and no benefits
your on your own as an independent business man
without the skill set to know how to do it as a new driverajacks121712 and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
Im happy with the lease, bit Im a special little exception. Dont be fooled into thinking I get a paycheck every eerk cause I dont. But I get what I want and need in this deal. I dont NEED a paycheck, thats just a bonus. Im just here to play survivor until I get the truck title. If I was relied on to support my family I would have been out ages ago.

haha, yeah that's what I figured. No interest in leasing for me. I just want to be a company driver do the best I can.

What condition are the trucks that the new drivers get. My wife will travel with me and it would be nice to have something nice, clean and room for 2
Also who would I talk to to find out if my speeding ticket would be a problem. 73 in a 55 a year ago in Indiana. I would hate for that to stop me from getting hired.
I looked on the Website for someone to contact on line or to ask questions but nothing on line and I am living in South Korea at this time.. -
Im happy with my lease but im kind of like honey if I dont get a check im ok. And I have a human gps my dad and he also has owned his own truck. But I agree go company less worries.
jdmredneck33 Thanks this. -
The trucks are nice and well maintained. TransAm doesnt run dumpy equipment. As a company guy you wont have any say in what truck you get though. You could end up with a 700 which is great for two or ypu could get crammef into a 660. They just put you in a truck. Ive seen 6'+ 400 lb guys try to get them to see reason on justifying being put in a 700 but had no luck.
Not sure how to contact recruiting except by phone.
