I was already a company driver. After 11 months regional I was offered a dedicated route at $875 for about 6 days work, more money if we pulled more than 11 loads in a week.

Then we lost that account and I was offered that intermodal position.

So I guess the requirements were already being with the company and living near the work area. The position is usually offered to existing company drivers.

New to the company. Experience? For what I have seen they don't require any besides you already have your CDL.

I know PGT has a 600 a week guarantee. Usually hits when you have truck problems and can't quite hit that 600 mark. From what I hear from their drivers, they stick to it, and you don't pay it back.

KB Transport has a $950 per week guarantee. You either run the miles to exceed that, or if you're short they will supposedly pay you $950. You can't turn down any loads and you have to keep your HOS in check (constantly running recap I assume). It sounds good in theory, but I'm sure there is more to it than that.

I know some of the Coca Cola delivery drivers in my area are on a salary and then get paid overtime for any OT. They have a good gig in terms of pay, but definitely work there ### off.

Its nice to have a Guarantee. Ive worked for places all you get is the miles. The dispatch was a joke. If you work for a good company the miles will be there & $$$$$$ is there also.

Do you still work for this company? Is this a good company to work for and what company is this?
I'm looking for a good company, pays good, actually wanting safe drivers and decent home time. I know, a lot to ask for. LOL

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

THIS is true of any large trucking company. Recruiters may SAY you'll have guaranteed money, be home every week, and lots of miles... but that's true AFTER you've proven your chops.

We are on the Ceva dedicated account at US Xpress. It has a 4,700 mile guarantee. It's awesome ! We don't have to pay back the money ever. We get the guarantee even if we don't have the hours just got to be available for a load. The only requirement is must team & have HazMat. In February due to the weather we averaged around 3,000 miles but got paid for 4,700 miles. We pull Ceva trailers which are well maintained. The best part about it is.....all loads are light. Have never had to weigh or slide a tandem.

Easy to do 5,000 to 6,500 miles on this

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
