What kind of mileage did you get with the 3408 Cat Bronc? That thing must have been flying when you bobtailed. It is why I want to get marine grade 450HP 3208 Cat and put it in a 379 or W900 Long nose. I have to wonder how much HP i would have to play with?

    Hmmmmmmmm

That makes me wonder ............... where are these teams running Big trucks up Pikes Peak in Colorado, doing their research?
If I'm not mistaken, there are also European manufacturers giving factory support for the event.

Wouldn't THAT be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?! :biggrin_2551:

i never figured out the mileage as it wasnt my truck, and it had a few other drivers...but i know i never got very good mileage in that truck...i did however have a hipo comment on how fast it would go once

as a wrecker it never really bobtailed....darn thing wieghed 44k by itself and my skinny butt in the seat

i do remember my boss once mentioning that that particular truck never got over 4.5....the 63 kw he had with a turned up cummings 400 never got over 4...it was on ebay a while back....after he sold it to an outfit in w. yellowstone they tried to sale it...i wonder where it is now??

:rr:Peacock??? Gay Chicken Trucker???? :smt075Mick,I've seen a lot of stuff .I've been to Maine,Spain,Spokane, seen two Worlds Fairs and saw goats getting it on in the market place .I've played drums around the camp fire and shot buffalo with Bill Cody but I ain't NEVER, NEVER seen no gay Chicken Trucker.:smt117

King,Bronc ain't crapping you about those 3408 Cats...Them and KTA Cummins were the reason they built a hammer lane in the first place back in the day.Back in the early 80s I rode in an old KW winch truck dragging a float around that had one of those big ol cats in it and twin sticks. It would make the planet Uranus pucker up in direct before you threw it up into OD.You couldn't even talk in the cab of it for the turbo whine and every time we stopped ,we had to clean VW beatles off the air cleaners.....I may be exaggerating a bit there...We COULD talk in the cab if we shouted.:biggrin_255:

    HeY!
Company policy rules rule, right? :yes2557: :biggrin_255:

As long as you mark 'er out and those feet remain in the stirrup and you don't make contact with your dancing partner, I reckon you'll score pretty high round money.

Always seems to pay off better when the boss is happy. :yes2557:
    Anyway,...........................
    that's what I've noticed. :biggrin_25520:
