It is company. I have never had any "required" sleep apnea on a physical.

Oh, wow, I am so glad you posted this. I have thought about inquiring about this at local medical equipment supplier and just haven't done so yet. I have even considered seeing if I can have my older machine repaired.
My chief concern is living as cheaply as possible during retirement (commencing fairly soon) and this would be a good area to cut expenses. -
I was one of those old guys who said sleep apnea didn't exist, just a scam blah blah. After all, it is a relatively new field of study that has only been seriously undertaken since the 80s. Everything is relative and for some of us the 80s is recent history.
But I am a believer now. The combined effects of my BiPAP machine and no longer smoking changed my life to a large degree. No more headaches, dry hangovers, gasping at night etc. More energy and losing weight.
Looking back, I believe my mother may have had sleep apnea, but no way of knowing or even considering back then. Who knows, she may have lived much longer had the knowledge been available. -
Yeah - the big deal is I DON'T HAVE THE ####### MONEY to do this - even if I knew how to do it, which I don't, which is why I entered the message. I'm not working after a bike crash. I have no insurance...

go to your own doctor or a concentra...pay for a med card on your own. ...they wont even check for sleep apnea

Physical qualifications, related to respiratory dysfunction for drivers, state that "a person is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) if that person has no established medical history or clinical diagnosis of a respiratory dysfunction likely to interfere with his/her ability to control and drive a commercial motor vehicle safely. If the medical examiner detects a respiratory dysfunction, that in anyway is likely to interfere with the driver's ability to safely control and drive a commercial motor vehicle, the driver must be referred to a specialist for further evaluation and therapy."[SUP]3[/SUP] -
they didn't check for apnea in the first place - just measured my neck - 17 inches - past "guideline" and now I'm down, for the count. And by the way, I don't snore. I have a little digital audio recorder and I let it run all night, right beside me. Not a single snort.
Nobody has answered my question - WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS? I live in Indiana. where is a doctor I can go to for cheap, cause I'll have to pay for it myself? -
I have a question. If I ever have to take a sleep test I will start jogging until I pass out. Wont that solve the problem? I used to exercise a lot and cardio really got rid of any problem.

I just told u how...concentra is not even going to mesure your kneck or check for it...im telling u what I know...go to concentra and tell them u want a med card...u be in an X out quick with a 1 year or 2 year med cert....yes pay for it yourself...the newer the med card the less chance u have of a company making you get it all over again
