Melton Truck Lines Wasn't A Good Fit

Flatbedding takes WORK, you will get sweaty, cold, dirty, hot, etc. Some days it may be as easy as a load of no tarp lumber. Others well, not so much. I gave up Van/Reefer in 6 months because it required nothing, it was too easy and had no challenge at all. It takes time to learn how to secure a load, proper tarping takes even longer to learn. Once you learn both, you will be amazed at how fast each one can be accomplished.

Like was said before, it ain't for everyone.

 

From all the post I read about 80 percent give an answer that the Driver can use and the Rest of u just give @&$&";(;;": just so you can see your post in here.If you dont know them Personally then dont Assume!! Makes you look bad.That Broker guy is the Worst for not knowing and giving Silly answers though.Hope u have a Day job fella that dont includf Customer skills

 

My answer is useful. Lol don't sleep through orientation and you would see flatbed is an outdoor job.

 

I've said this before during my time here and I'm going to say it again. Anyone who thinks flatbedding is "work" has never "worked" a day in their life. I left flat roofing because at 40yrs old because I could not see myself reaching the finish line doing that but as I type this..Four people I went to school with have been doing this since the early 1980's. Tear off old roof,lay insulation,if it's a "Built Up" Roof start the tar kettle and start throwing paper and rock,if not throw out the rubber and if ballast spread rock to weigh it down.In MN that means in extreme cold all day (yes they work in Winter) In Summer extreme heat and humidity. Days are long and no A/C and no heat in Winter except what you have on. This of course is just one example of "work"...Just sayin.

You realize he made one..and only one post three days ago and has not been on here since? IMO if he comes back to his thread and posts replies to replies-he will receive (as one sees it) serious responses.

Just amazing that you read so many post where people dont come into the Forum looking for a Comedian but the find alot of Jokers in here.People come in asking for help and get the Comedy channel in here.Just give people straight,honest answers that they can take and use to solve their Issues
