Lol. .I don't care if everybody talks on the thread. .I learn things too. And btw I use the trip pak app.

 

I took a long weekend and arrived at the yard this morning about 10.. while driving up Mark called me with a choice of 3 loads. .
I took one going to Colorado. . Insulation going to Gypsum..I didn't realize it was on the western slope. . According to the weather map I shouldn't have a problem with snow. Quick 728 miles.

I'm glad to be back to work. . Time off wears me out.

 

It is pretty out there. .I used to live in Durango CO.

I made my delivery in Gypsum and asked about a load to get me out of there before the snow storm hit. .I was told to go ahead and cross back to the eastern slope. Of course Vail had snow and so did Eisenhower. I was afraid it was going to get bad. .I don't carry chains.

I got red lighted at the scale house. . Rolled across empty and get told to come inside with permits and CDL. . Ought oh! (Even though chain law is not in effect I'm still required to have them between mm259 And 133).

Inside. ."the reason I brought you in its because I couldn't see the vin on your truck".. Oh ok, No biggy it's on that little side door. . She checks my permit book and CDL. . Grunts, I say "That don't sound good" which gets a laugh. . And I'm out of there. Btw.. our VIN isn't on the side of our trucks. . Which according to her is how they identify us. ?

So I get a load picking up in McPherson ks heading to Dallas. .584 empty 481 loaded. .I like these Colorado runs. All except for the wind. . Freaking nightmare running empty on 70.

Hope everyone had a good Easter. .

I T called my load at the yard Saturday morning. . Lol supposedly so I wouldn't have to sit all weekend. I got a 3 load offering. . All of them picking up Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. .ugh. So I ended up with 2, 200 miles for the week.


I took a load from Joplin MO to south Carolina. .1, 000 miles loaded. .200 empty. . But instead of sitting in a truck stop, I parked the truck and trailer at the marina then spent the weekend on the house boat.

 

Yeah I'm debating doing it again this weekend. . When I deliver Thursday night I'll have 2, 300 miles.

Thinking about another long weekend.. I'd like to get the engine put back together in the boat before it gets to hot.

I'm on Monteagle and heading to KC for as fast as I can get it there.

 

I made it to KC and to the receiver. . Did my drop but there were no empty trailers. . So I sent my empty call and bobtailed to the yard.

I rolled thru the gate with 1 minute left of drive time. Dispatch sent me a list of available trailers here at the yard. . They show 6 here. In reality there was 1.. How do ya lose track of 5 trailers? I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have trailers missing everywhere. Shaking my head.

I talked to Mark earlier and told/asked if I could goto the house and work on the boat and then come back out Sunday. OR if there was a load that would put me thru the house and deliver Monday or Tuesday. He said that we had A LOT of freight. I got the impression that they need all hands on deck.

Lol I'm tired. . Either I'm getting old or lazy. .2, 300 miles in 3 1/2 days. . Been a long time since I've run like that.
