It's $25 extra per drop and this is the first multi stop load I have done, I dont think its that regular of a thing. I have had more multi drop with other companies. Gordon for one!!

Thanks but no. I am doing good on what I have thanks.
-
I had the little brother in blue call me. Are Great Plains and Holland about the same when it comes to pay and benefits?
-
They changed my Stops and my route.
Had me on 80 instead now.
Good thing I busted my ### yesterday. Parked at the TA just past Cheyenne.
Snowing in Wyoming they have some chain laws up for 80.
Also Cheyenne to Laramie was closed last time I checked.
Think it supposed to switch back rain around Kearney. -
Are you local? Do you start and end at the same place every day? If so then that is in fact legal to do, as long as it's once per period without having any violations the previous period.
If you already did it once that period, then you simply tell whatever idiot you're dealing with that they have a decision to make. And that decision would consist either of someone else picking up the load, or someone coming and picking you up after you get the load.
I had to do that myself with the know-nothings in our office.
That sounds like this dispatcher dismissed your trying to inform her of what she should already know as some sort of attempt at getting out of work. Our safety dept WILL back a driver in this type of situation, and WILL get HR involved if a dispatcher, or even a TM wants to threaten a driver for operating within the law.
What you also have here is a case of the letter of the law conflicting with the intent. Sometimes that happens, but when it does letter of the law takes precedent. Know it, and use it to your advantage when you can. -
There's no such thing as Safe Haven driving. There is adverse driving conditions like an unexpected storm popped up and shut you down. Then you can continue on 2 hours if it's within your 14. Known storms don't count because one didn't trip plan and check the weather. Call safety and have them set her straight. By all means don't give in to coercion. They can't penalize you but DOT can if you give in. The moment you do your are just as guilty.

Fun times yesterday.
Practically Blizzard Conditions from Lexington to Kearney.
Snow/Ice Packed road.
Lots of wrecks, they ended up closing WB Side at Kearney.
Walmart Truck blocking the whole WB Side.
After that it was ok, but really didn't switch to Rain until almost Lincoln. -
I would have parked it without a second thought.
Walmart? Those guys get paid for sitting in bad conditions, no reason for that. -
Does Holland have many customers in or around Springfield Mo.?
-
Did we lose the OP here lol. According to the hiring map on the website, we only hire from the east side of MO. Couldn't hurt to call and talk to Denzel though and ask.
