Awwww ajacks, I'm sorry ....I've been there and done that too. That's the good thing about having teenagers with phones now. ...if he doesn't get me he calls their phone!

That's what I thought too, Pete, but once again Panhandle passed on by......so I was hungry and ate the sandwich that could have been his!:biggrin_255:

Wayne, the company vs lease thing doesnt end in orientation. Ive got company buddies and we are always taking friendly pot shots at each other over it. They call me a prima donna but I wont deny the truth.

Four days of hometime and I will still be able to cover my overhead this week. And I got a new body pillow while home! I am a happy badger. Ladt time I counted, the pillow count was up to 12 on my bunk. A princess must sleep comfortably. I also dyed my hair teal. You can pretty much guarantee youll know me when you see me, LOL

lolol yeah I had a feeling about that. Everyone kind of changed after comming back off the road. They keep asking me why I won't lease, I just say my personal choice I don't have to have a reason. Everyone has a personal preference and mine is company for now. Most are talking about taking a week or two of hometime right out the gate cause they don't have a truck payment first few weeks. So I see some if them sinking right out the gate.

Isn't another way of writing this sentence "I took four days of hometime so now I will have to work the other three days of the week for free so I can cover my overhead?"

    Teal actually sounds cool!

If they didn't act like such lease sharks during orientation I might have considered it. But they give off a really bad car salesman act since I got there. I finally told Will that I would need a solid one on one with someone with real settlements vs real paychecks.

Honestly I have a feeling me, Wayne, and the only other company driver besides us are going to be stuck with recoveries and hold our junk for a week in this roach motel....

I wish I could just get straight numbers I could understand.

Also the home time thing, I can live with 30 days on 4 days off, but at this stage of the game its looking like us company guys are going to get stuck doing 60 days to get 4 days off sometime next month... I'm already kind of going out of my mind. If they can't live up to that 30 on 4 off I don't know if this company will work out for me.

Side note: Whats the best mobile wireless I can get my hands on, price is not a problem I can't live off this foogayzee wifi connections at these motels and truck stops ive been at...? If I could Skype with the people I am missing so badly this would all be alot easier to deal with.

^ Most say a Verizon Mobile Hotspot package is the best you can do for a on the road connection, big boy plan is like 20GB for $130 per month. That is just what I read, I am cheap as hell so price does matter I use a Virgin Mobile (Sprint Network) package for about $35 per month.

    Thanks everyone!

I've been looking at Verizon really hard, the 20gb connections seems like the best bang for your buck.

How is the Virgin Mobil Connection?

I wish I could get a fair shake at it, but I will be going company for the foreseeable future. Lease just doesn't appeal to me and my trainer was proof positive that company drivers are not guaranteed the short end of the stick.

We shafted more lease drivers then I thought possible because we were super teaming. On top of that I learned more in those 11 days then I did at driving school. Best trainer/teacher I've ever had and anyone who gets him is blessed to catch that level of knowledge from him.

Also learned that the LA port area is a nightmare.
