A 3208 is a medium duty engine, it wont have the torque to move the truck, not only that i believe they spin up to 3200rpm or so same goes for the 3126, they are not class 8 engines. You can go get a 475hp C15 or ISX or whatever engine you please and have that 1750-1850 torque stock. While a 3208 will propably be making 1200-1300ft-lbs. A 550hp C15 with injector trim codes, fuel temp and boost sensor wires is a ery fun engine and will get 6mpg, at that point it is making around 650 crank hp.

At that point pushing full boost you will not get mpg, you are getting gpm my friend. Look at your little volvo display when you mash on it, at the "instant milage" it will go to 0. 5 or 6mpg is your average through out the trip, when cruising, not accelerating, when your climbing hills and dropping gears you dont get mpg at that point, maybe 1/2 mile to a gallon if your'e lucky.

    Zero MPG?
    Hmmmmmmm

So you'd be there -- just spinning the wheels?
Seems to me, as long as you're moving, ..... you're getting SOME kind of MPG or GPM. :biggrin_25511:

GPH maybe when your not driving and idling, but you are driving so its still per mile. I was not aware you asked a question....... Stop acting stupid, because i already answered it "At that point pushing full boost you will not get mpg, you are getting gpm my friend" That applies to triple digit speeds.

So you were running 95mph with 100k lbs using lets say 15-17psi of boost to get 3.5mpg? Yeah maybe when you let off the throttle. As far as .9mpg you see my point, dont believe everything that lil display shows after all it is a volvo part, try re setting it once in a while..... You cant fool me stop bull $#itting. Get in the truck and make some money, "strike" is over.
