I've found DEF for 2.59 at ambest T/S (and a few other places). I think it was Quaker town, OH. It's my fueling stop going east on 70 before I get into outrageous fuel territory!

Leave it to a step child of the Navy to pick on someone when they are sleeping. LMAO
Never called one of my bunkmates sexy. Though during "A" school there was a couple of smokin hot chicks in the class ahead, in mine, and class behind mine. That I would have gladly called sexy and then some. LMAO -
Hey Steele, nobody is making any excuses about why they scan. I have specific reasons why I do. And honestly, that little fee on the two or three I do every week is probably less than the cash you spend on supplies to polish ypur aluminum, which I wont do on a truck I never intend to own. Fact is, it works out well for me and is an expense that I can accept and can also write off. Its not for everybody, but neither is getting settled a week or two later on a teip. Everyone's living expenses and bills are different. When I put money away after paying my Friday scheduled disbursements, I want it to STAY away. I track my money down to the last nickel and want stuff paid when I want it paid.
drloveofdfw and jbizzle Thank this. -
Never heard that on Parris Island. Must be a Great Mistakes term. Dont be hatin at my hotness either, ya drooling squid type.
Ha! -
I agree Jarhead. Everybody's expenses and bill are unique to them. I am simply pointing out a little thing that could save a few bucks here and there. This is a business of pennies: a few cents diesel/gallon here, a scan there, etc. Over time it adds up to big dollars. Use the information however one choses, but that's all it is.....information, that may help someone.....or not?

1054 miles - $768 take home
1661 miles - $631 take home
2141 miles - $1143 take home
AVERAGE/ WEEK: 1618 MILES - $847 TAKE HOME
Larger mile trips:
3722 miles - $924 take home
3483 miles - $1167 take home
3973 miles - $1681 take home
ST, help me out here Brother. Trying to understand the math difference here. I can only assume that some sort of deductions like fuel, scales etc. made the difference here, or is it ALL due to the variable cost of the lease in some way. Not asking for personal finance stuff bud, just truck numbers here.
IE: You logged 3483 miles and took home $1167.00, but logged 3722 miles (239 miles more) and took home $924.00 ($243 less)
You logged 2141 miles and took home $1143.00 only $24.00 less than the 3483 mile trip a 1342 mile difference.
****Plus I agree with Jarhead on the scanner deal. I did both as an O/O. The main reason I started scanning afterwards was due to the fact that three of my packets got lost over a six month period and had I not had a copier in my truck I would not have had proof of the runs.
****Hey D-Love you said you found DEF for 2.59. Are you having the same results as Steele getting 3 months plus out of a tank of DEF. What is the size of the DEF tanks. I have never used DEF so I am clueless. -
Jarhead, I was reading the new web link recruiting sent me this morning http://www.welcometojct.com/ and under the FAQ's it states that they keep you in a newbie (paraphrasing) dispatch mode for two weeks then hook you up with a standard dispatcher. Is that for everyone or drivers just getting started in the business?
-
I can get about 4000 miles on a tank of DEF. I usually fill it up about once a week.
-
Everyone gets stuck with Keith as a dispatcher for a little bit. Kinda like a little period of break in to see how drivers are and how things are gonna work out.
