Though the scanner can work for some you also have to remember Trip pak also has an app. No need to purchase a scanner that way. But the company still charges you as if it was a scan.

How many gallons does the tank hold Camaro?
-
Mine is about 23 gallons I do believe. Only once have I ran it below a 1/2 tank and I put in 19 gallons then. But normally I am putting in just under 12 gallons every week and a half or so.
Edit: My last fill up on Def I put on 11.89 gal. Before that it was 2589 miles before. -
OK, so your spending about $30.00 per week on average. That's what I was trying to nail down. Thanks!

This makes no sense at all.....
I.E....You ran 1054 miles n made more than when you 1600+ miles..... Impossible unless you used fuel from the week before to do this...... Which just tells me you truly don't understand trucking numbers.....
You can make a paycheck with low miles. These are actual weeks for me in the past 2 months.
1054 miles - $768 take home
1661 miles - $631 take home
2141 miles - $1143 take home
AVERAGE/ WEEK: 1618 MILES - $847 TAKE HOME
Larger mile trips:
3722 miles - $924 take home
3483 miles - $1167 take home
3973 miles - $1681 take home
AVERAGE/ WEEK: 3726 MILES - $1257 TAKE HOME -
How is it impossible if that is what his settlement is stating. Kind of asinine to say that. All you have to do is have a trip that goes thru a cheap fuel state and fill up and if it's towards the end of the period it won't cover both weeks and who's to say that he didn't have a trip that didn't require a fuel purchase to cover the miles. If you don't try to fuel for a paycheck and do it for the over all picture it makes perfect sense.
Steel Tiger and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Agreed 100%. As a matter of fact, I only treat myself once per week to a sit down meal (not fast food... YUK!!!), otherwise I cook in the truck. I shop at ChinaMart twice a week to restock. I am notoriously cheap. I figure the $12-36 I spend each week in scanning fees is easily made up in the savings on food. I'm baking a potato right now as I type as a matter of fact. Laundry once per week (before it comes at me in the middle of the night). I did buy dinner for a nasty squid in Cali, but that was to make sure his fleas didn't get anywhere near the interior of my truck.
Anyway, there are many many simple ways to save money. All based on an individuals' habits and personal needs/wants. I pulled $18 out of my pocket to buy a brand new CB yesterday, paying the rest with points. If I actually added up the savings on a monthly basis based on my cheap habits, I'm sure it would be well over $150. I learned how to be cheap in college, when I let my drinking habit make my job go bye-bye. One day I woke up in the back of my car, looked up at my couch/front seat, and realized I needed to get my **** together. I did. Started a business on a shoestring and sold it a couple years later in a meeting room at the Hetzel Union Building on campus to another student and his father (I got raped on the deal, trust me). -
I assume it's for every driver. I was on Keith's board for I believe almost three weeks. Some get more, some less.

True. I just use the TransFlo (many more available than Trip Pak scanners). I was under the impression that they didn't subscribe to phone-app scanning capability, is that not the case? I used to phone scan to TransFlo on a regular basis at the monstrosity of a company I came from. Was handy when I was in the middle of nowhere without hours and needed to get bills in by a deadline. TransFlo Express app is really easy to use, but I imagine it costs the carrier some money. Also had it installed on my home computer so I could scan at home after I parked the truck. -
There a newbie website, where did that come from? The tech guys can't even keep the main site updated. There's crap on there from when I was going to come over in april of '11.
well it kinda does, we all fuel differently, ST may stay with just the a major brand to get fuel to where someone else will fuel to a threshold. The name of the game is fueling for profit and not for a paycheck. for example this settlement that just came out today, I ran 2 trips totaling 2479. my take home was 826.85 due to I fuel in Bakersfield, CA for 3.84 (wanted to fill at love's for the points and get my platinum status but at 3.94 and only .05 rebate, I couldn't bet Bakersfield for fuel). My next settlement should read 2 trips for 1866 my take home should be 915.81.
I've really haven't keep track of it to tell the truth. I will tell you that it take around 45 buck to refill the darn thing with 1 bar left and will usually last around 5k. I normally get if for around 2.69 myself. I try not to stop just for DEF unless I absolutely have too since every time that EFS card is swiped in .75 unless your at a PFJ.
The Tripak app is tricky to use! there is a threshold acceptance of 65 or better. In order to use it, your phone has to be out of the world good or you have to trick it by using the camscanner app and saving the images as jpeg's and moving them over.
