Yea TC I had the same issue. I went into the FL dealer in Knoxville and they did the ECM update and all of a sudden I was down to 6.0 MPG. They tried to tell me that the cab card was set for a 2010 but prior to the reboot I was getting 6.7MPG. I feel your pain.

My 12 is averaging about 6.5 for the two months ive been in it but with extenuating circumstances. I just recently realized my fan has been engaged full time. Thats fixed as of monday. Also a couple of very tight runs where I was forced to trade fuel for time. Running on the governor while crossing the divide can hurt bad. When ive beem able to try my hand at hyper-miling I've been rewarded with outstanding results including 1200 miles at 8.2 and a sweet little hop from Tehachapi to Santa Nella at a cool 8.7. Today was my first real miles with the fan working correctly and ended showing 7.4 running 65 on the cruise.

I've also noted my sweetspot is around 1450. Too bad you gotta be against the gov to get it there. I swear I hate 10 speeds. A nice double over 13 would allow 1450 in 12th (aka 9th direct) at about 61 with my 3.42 finals.

Sorry for not sharing sooner, thought everyone knew. I got it from the old thread. My wife keeps up with it and I have it bookmarked on my phone to use. I use it to plan my fuel stops before I get started and recheck everyday to make sure I'm still on track for that stop.

Well, I got mine with 105k on it (currently at 128k). I like to keep mine around 60-63 and at 1300 rpm is my sweet spot. I average around 7.5 and have seen 8. If I put my foot in it which I hate doing, my low is 6.2 and the high 7.1. I hate that I can't see my boost but as soon as I stop looking for the better price, I'll get my scanguageD. Currently getting a license plate for the back saying,

"The slower you go, the more fuel you save. Miss Daisy taught me that!"

I'm not knocking an auto, if it's geared right than there's no problem. Just the evo I drove last year was not the best ways to sell me an auto! I drove an auto concrete truck for 2 years. loved it until you get stuck and can't get out! your day gets screwed waiting on the hook. besides you tell me your giving me an auto that's an Allison, hell ya I'll take it! Eaton smart shift, you can keep that POS! jury's still out on Detroit's DT12. I do miss my Prevost H3-45 with a 60 series with 6 speed Allison in the back! OH YA!!!

DL, ST Camaro et al, do you guys get enough time typically on the load to set up the trip plan and drive the hours you prefer IE:0300-1500 or do the majority of the refer loads deliver at such a time that requires mostly the good ole grave yard shift driving. I figure if I can get an answer from a few of you then I can see what the pattern tends to be. I have not pulled refer since 2010 and minus the occasional midnight appoint and or the 0300 load time it was up to my trip planning.

I really don't have a pattern on mine. The times are all over the place.

I guess I owe steel tiger a buck. Trailer of sour cream for sale, I meant trade. Nice aero trailer with full skirts. Going to sunny CA. Trailers with tire problems welcomed (point collection). Trailers with any letter before the number will be rejected as well as trailers with no skirts and/or immigrate hideaway. Trade need to take place in the next 553 miles. Apply within
