It depends on what kind of mood they're in! I came in on 25 the other day and they didn't call me into the office. Seems to be a 50/50 chance for me.
-
So unless they tell you to, you don't have to go inside? I remember when I used to run I-80 all trucks had to stop and go inside with your paperwork.
-
If you have prepass you follow the red/green light on the box. If you do not have prepass you have to go in.
Occasionally if they are busy and short staffed you don't have to go into the building to be checked into the computers but that is rare.
If you don't have prepass go in, that is your safest action.DriverToBroker Thanks this. -
At the port on 25 they have a sign that says if no permits required exit weigh station when flashing. Or something along those lines.also an electronic sign that says park and bring in paperwork.
-
That was my point with the "occasionally" comment.
So unless you have prepass, or unless that sign is flashing then you go in.
Its not that hard to understand. -
Well it's like this and started with Al Gore and his global warming theories. These "ports" are strategically placed at the high water mark once all the snow and ice in the world has melted. This way they do not have to pay to change the signs later. Millions of dollars were spent studying exactly where to place these ports so they would not have to change a $50 sign.mp4694330 Thanks this.

Thanks Al , now we don't need to change the signs , + we have the Internet!
