Hello All
My husband and I are in Driving School in Central Texas and are currently researching companies to drive as a team for.
The companies we are looking at are:
1. US Xpress
2. USA Truck
3. Knight Transportation
4. Schneider National
Does anyone know about these companies and their reputation in dealing with teams, including pay and miles.

I worked for arnold for 3 months. They are the little brother of USX and the 2 companies are run the same and share freight. Arnold rarely kept me moving and eqipment was always falling apart. USX has same maintenance program, so i would recommend not going with USX

go with 3 or 4
none of any of them pay well however
If it were me I'd go with Knight -
have you considered flatbed? (TMC) I know the miles wont be as great, but you make way more per mile and get treated better. You would have help with securment since there are 2 of you....and you could be awake more of the same hours....team when you have to, share driving when you don't need to. .20*5000 miles = .40*2500 miles. Average on % pay at TMC is .48. You may even make more flatbed then full team van.

Also look at JBS Carriers and Tyson Foods.

Dear KrisAngel, being from Wis. I may be a little partial to Schneider, but they've been around a long time, and you don't stay in business 50 years by ripping off your drivers. I see the other companies you mentioned advertise, a lot, and that would make me a little nervous. I used to pick up at Ft. Howard Paper in Green Bay, and there were a ton of Schneider drivers around, and talking to them, they seemed happy. Best of luck in your career,

I'm a new cdl grad looking for a starter company to hopefully spend at least one year with. I'd appreciate it if any cdl grad new hires would talk with me about their experiences so far.
Thanks,
