Fuff are you taking a bus from Victorville CA to Springfield MO?
They fingerprint you at orientation? Please tell me you're joking.

All you guys worried or concerned, dont be. Be straight. Be decent. Be respectful and humble, and come ready to learn. T years work history, no gaps. No felonies newer then 10 years. Decent health, screen yourself before you get here. Know the dot minimum requirements, and meet them. Bring any medical documentation for any significant injury or issue. If you get a ticket here, your in barring anything you hid. And bring your #### birth certificate and id say a minimum $300 bucks. Dont be that guy/gal who shows up unprepared and with a #### attitude. And get that permit ahead of time!
Ask away, ill be specific where I can, im in reefer, and while I was going lease, Im gonna go company for a few months to get used to running by myself, then bounce over to lease. Only buy the necessary equipment at first, flatbed is going to have a significant amount to buy vs reefer, and ill post the minimum for reefer in a couple days. Example, tire chains. Get them in closer to winter. Id say to fully equip a truck, to operate with a technological advantage, and to be living comfortably in the truck you'll have 2-3 grand in equipment and extras. But that can all come with time. 5 or 6 hundred up front should be safe.
I just got back to the campus inn for my A seat upgrade, and all I can say is, that was an expierence lol. Good for the most part, its as easy or difficult as you make it. Im a runner, and so was my trainer, from feb 1st to today, from fresh faced psd to now, I logged 48,360 hub miles to get 42,232 dispatched miles, and I got home 2 times for 4 days each time during my training. Its up to your effort and your trainers abilities how long and how well the process will go for you. Its not difficult, but you cant show up and coast either.
More to come soon!newbietrucker007, Flipsmurf, hollywoodmd and 1 other person Thank this. -
