This is Nothing new....... California is Notorious for fraudulant Double-Brokering scams and not paying the delivering carrier.......
Cant remeber the name..But it was a Hindi- Indian Name..
Also,Keep in mind Folks...........Fishy Brokers call it "Co-Brokering" Which is not illegal.......but is so Tacky its not even funny
They'll arguew with you that 'Co-Brokereing' is Moral and Efficient in Business -
Ok somebody school me here please. Is this the type of thing that the recent increasing of broker bonds is aimed at preventing?
Thanks in advance for your help. -
No sir.
The recent increase to $75,000 was to try and eliminate a lot of fly-by-night brokerages and put a better handle on slow-non paying brokers
A $10,000 bond was used up within Hours in some cases......
I truly believe the Bond should be set at $250,000 Because $75,000 can go Super fast as well
Now....To Prevent Double-Brokering is merely impossible, Its a Very Common (And Tacky) Practice. Its NOT illegal. But Its terrible business
The Best thing you can do to know if you will be targeted for Double-Brokering is Ask...I know it sounds crazy, But ask If the Broker you intend on using is truly contracted with the customer....
Will they tell you the truth..Probably Not.Who knows..
Another reason why they get the reputation they haver, and I Try to use them on a limited basis
