there is plenty of hanging around early arrival times on holiday weekends
as you get familiar with where your going and how to do it
you will find places to stop
and other places you can deliver earlyWaynetp Thanks this. -
Hey Jaso, if you are just down the road from the Clarksville Walmart at that truck stop in the morning, say hi! I'll be there late tonight to take my break since its off the interstate enough I know I can get a spot at 2am. Will take my break there, shower en route to my first stop and spend Sunday night sleeping on the road outside Sysco. Have an 0600 appt Monday but they start sending drivers in at 0530. Hoping to deliver while on my 10 and then have a fresh 14 to make the 300 mile ((Paid!)) drive home.

Happy Easter to you also!
George was ready to quit or get fired this past week...
His driver manager said to get back to the yard this morning...
We were worried....so he gets in there, and they have a heart to heart talk.
When they were done she offered him a dedicated run from Palatka, FL to Canada!
Wow...that ended well.
Thank goodness.
HometimeQueen and jaso36 Thank this. -
must have been bad if he survived transam
well a deicated you should be able to plan when he gets home
good luck -
Good evening everyone!
ajacks, I am so happy for you! I know the kids will be thrilled to see their dad too! I knew you were on the Easter Bunny's good list!
Waynetp, you are doing great! The backing comes with time and experience. Take Pete's advice and get out and look ....a lot....and you will do fine.
oliver2, that is wonderful news! Congrats to George on the dedicated run! How often will he be home? I would also think that a dedicated run will require less contact with dispatchers.
Pete, the girls wipe down the inside of the truck, polish everything up,vacuum, clean the microwave and the fridge.....but they don't do windows!
Sorry that you won't be close to your sister's for dinner, Panhandle. I figured you were on the Bunny's naughty list!
The King's company tries to get everyone home at least for one day on any holidays. Yesterday his load to get back this way cancelled. The company made some calls, got him a load going from point A to B, then one going from C to home. He made it home this afternoon!Waynetp Thanks this. -
Oh, Yes ....it's home economics! Gotta start small!
