From Day One - Abilene Motor Express (Richmond, Wytheville, VA)

Are we allowed to stay at any us express yard or just certain ones. And thanks for the info. I know I see a few of thier trucks on our yard. I know they no longer own any part of Abilene. I think ill just go to customer arrive at final then go to us x yard.

 

Hey I've been trying to chase down an O/O to ask them a few questions, but I'll ask here. Anyone know if the O/O's do well here? Thinking about doing it myself

 

Today is April 20th and I got my first load load with Abilene on Feb 20th so its been 2 full months and my PAID MILES for those two full months is 25,596 so for 8 weeks and 3 days I'm averaging 3100 plus a week and that includes home time and a couple 34 hour restarts. Now I only go home once a month. Just posting this so you can we have lots of miles with Abilene. Im sitting across street from my delivery wish they were open on Sundays but they're not. I missed getting to squeeze in a 34 by less than 2 hours but oh well planners usually do well with what ever hours we have. Nite all be safe.

Yes we can stay at any usx yard. We lease space and they dont mind at all if we stay. I even think were allowed to shower etc. i never have but I have stayed at Irving TX and at Ellenwood, GA (southside ATL).

 

We can shower bring your own towels and rags at least I do even go inside the lounges yard in olive branch even has a stove if u wanted to cook yourself a meal, only usx yard I had a problem with was in Laredo,tx I got booted operation guy said we was no longer part of usx anymore, but out all other terminals are fine

 

Has anyone on here del. To masonite in stanely va? I have just enough enough hours yo get there only thing ill get there around mid nite. Is there place to park there for my wed 0800 appt? I looked on Google Earth and theres plenty of room just don't if they allow over nite parking. Thanks time for snooze.

 

Sorry Im no help. Although watch how you get there and out. The roads are pretty tight and some have restrictions. When I was in Ops my drivers used to B and Moan about going in that area around Luray and south. Only a couple ways to get there and none are optimal. I hope you prove my old whiney drivers wrong!

 

Deuce I will be at the yard on Wednesday mid-morning. I have a LUL in PG about 25mi away from AMX.
