1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am a Fl. CDL A holder. I used to Drive for Oakley Tanks Lakewales FL. last time driving was FEB 2008. But, most of my exp. was in 2003-2007. Anyhow, In FEB 2088 i was ask to come back to U.S. Army Volunteer. I live in Ft. Hood TX. just retired with 20 yrs in and I'm looking to get back into driving. Since I have been away so long the big carriers are telling me I need to go to school again B.S.
Drove for Steven Transport, LCT Transport and Oakley Food grades.
I'm not a kid,I'm 54 and have CDL A , Double, triples, Tanks, Hazmat, Passport, TWIC Card and MED Card.
If anyone knows of any opportunities Please let know Thanks!
    Stay safe Driver!!

They aren't telling you anything different than any other driver that has no recent verifiable training or driving experience. Should you have a major accident shortly after returning, blood thirsty lawyers would hammer your carrier and it's insurance Co. That's the legalistic environment this country has allowed itself to become.

    BigBluePeter and feliper98 Thank this.

A small company will take you. The megas sure are picky about work history despite having such a huge turnover rate.

Just be careful with the Chicago comapnies as they often tend to be on the shady side. I can recommend you one but they run team PM me if you're interested.
