He was having some personal issues, he misses TransAm actually( being a company driver, he has to do exactly what they say, instead of being more his own boss). Plus he doesn't think he gets paid enough for the work...and on top of everything else he misses being home.
But now everything is much better...I would think a straight run to Canada will mean more miles...
Thanks.
You have a dedicated route, correct? Hoe do you like it?
Good luck on your doctor's report!

The King could have taken one of the dogs when he was there .....if we wanted to pay the $2500.
This company only charges a non-refundable $150 for pets to ride....but a mastiff takes up a lot of room in a truck!

A Werner driver was in a bad accident in Springfield this morning at the diamond interchange .....that is so confusing for people going through it for the first time. There are many folks traveling today to places they are unfamiliar with so take care everyone.
DRIVER TIP:
Big truck rollover in Texas. I-10 WP mm 829. Nobody on scene yet and truck is stretched across both lanes. Looking at about 4 mile back up at this time. - James -
I don't know, oliver2, after being at this for awhile you begin to realize that being your own boss is an illusion. You have to be available to move the freight when it needs to be moved no matter if you are company or lease. If you turn down too many loads you would soon find yourself with no loads to move. George went with another big carrier and that makes a difference also. There are still some smaller companies that let you fuel where you want or need to, plan your own route and get your dispatcher on the phone within a few minutes.
There is also a push right now for legislation to increase the amount of liability insurance that is carried on trucks. If you own your own truck or lease expect the cost of your insurance premiums to increase. That is just one of several cost factors that are set to increase over the next year. -
ajacks, did you enjoy getting to see gamma? How is he doing? I bet the kids were super excited!
The Easter Bunny brought the King an electronic flyswatter in his Easter basket. Figured it would provide endless entertainment on the road. It is also entertaining him today ....he has been chasing the girls and I around with the zapper!
