I idle because of my fridge,Coleman cooler, laptop, and power inverter. Don't have an APU so the draw on my batteries is more important to me then fuel when I am on break. Besides I keep all my marker lights on at night, do not need any excuse that someone can not see my truck when they are backing in.As far as fuel cost goes I save that money by staying in the truck and not snacking and trashing in the truckstop..

Keep slowing down and getting the good miles per gallon and your future will be good for a Prime truck and a new roadblock.........

Come on you folks love blowing the doors off people. You wouldn't be happy if you could't pass anybody. Guess I'll be a road block like the RV and mexican car haulers. :)

Idling to annoy drivers is so old paradigm . I myself enjoy getting out of my truck, giving my door a few good slams (doesn't shut all the way unless I giver a good pounding), grab some chips, come back in truck with a good slam shut, turn the truck back on while i snack & smoke, get out with another few good loud door shuts, scan trips in, come back, slam door a few times again , go shower, never gets old, of course the apu will chug so that can get loud to while im turning it off & on repeatedly, butm nothings better then a good door slaming

that's funny my buddy did that one time at his apartment complex, but he dropped the drain plug in the sewer grate. needless to say he had to run to auto parts store while his truck sat parked over the sewer drain DOH!!!!!

do you think the door slamming annoys other drivers? I don't smoke in my truck so when I shut down bout 3am I get in and out a few times to smoke before I go to bed, oh well let them truckers idle 10-4

Sometimes it is just in driver blood, they don't even pay attention to that. Noticed that they leave even they own car running if they got to go in somewhere quick)
