Pablo how hard is it to drive from one country to the other in Europe?

 

Please let this thead go as informational ,this is very good information,

 

really not easy.

before recession trucking to Western Europe was good, now not so good, but we can keep working there. Russia now is not oin good economical condition that's why not many loads there. Generally we move Ukrainian export to Russia. Now I thing about working with ex-USSR Asia and Caucas. Seems to me would be better. I will try in May

 

if you are in EU this is simple ,

but if country is not in EU than you have problems, borders, customs (sometimes each can take a day), than you must have license from your country to drive abroad(in my country this is much simpler now than before), than you must have permits from other countries to get in

there is always problems with cemt permits you can never get enough of them, some companies bribe the ministry of traffic to get more of them
everybody must cheat on them

when they catch you to cheat you are in problems, truck get impound for some time usually 3months , company get big fine...than when truck is seized many parts are stolen from truck, hard to find safe place for this , one very popular safe place in italy for this is in monfalcone at spedition at guy Robi , http://goo.gl/maps/YNbwr (all those trucks on street come to make papers at this guy are from ex YU countries)

generally problem with those papers is : richer western country, have no much interest to get permits for its truckers to go in eastern country , while eastern country depends on them

in case of my country , east countries must agree on all conditions our country require because they depend on us.....
this make many companies to turn from west to russia and ex ussr and middle east , even if papers are not ok , few € for bribe will correct everything

 

people say Kazahstan is cool to work too, bu too far and too hard conditions

I keep working in Europe but I think I must try to East

About Turkey and Metideranian Ro Ro ships..... unfortuntly conventional trucks are not good becouse I pay for place on deck. For example Ukraine to Turkey... $700 for COE and $1000 for conventional truck + trailer.
