Does anyone happen to know the website where you can file a labor complaint if the company is trying to push you past the HOS .
I know of the FMCSA site , but recently someone posted another site .
Thanks

Are you on electronic logs or using paper logs.

Why don't you just quit. Snitches get stitches in this bizz.

Looks like the OP lost his job a week ago ..... Now he wants to report them

One thing to remember is you are the captain of your ship, DOT doesn't fire the d/m if you are out of hours, they give you the violation. Also make sure if you have a qualcomm anything you transmit to them is on the qualcomm, these can be subpoenaed if necessary.
I think new drivers are esp intimidated by d/m, f/m's, whatever when they start working because they are a lot of times given loads that are just not justifiable with the hours they have to deliver in, but are told they cannot turn down a load or it is counted as a service failure. This I think is important too, use the qualcomm to put in on the correct macro, the estimated time of arrival for your delivery that you can be there. I know sometimes a quick call maybe made to you for this when you put it in. Then is the time to explain why the time is what it is. Also make sure you give them a good time for estimated time of availability and hrs that you have. Communication is very important because otherwise you end up being sent loads you cannot start to p/u or dlvr. -
Paper ..... But it's all good now , I was preparing for a fight but it didn't occur
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
You make it sound like we are in the mafia

Seriously?! If we don't stand up for ourselves, companies will continue to abuse us, unabated. Why would you just leave and let the problem become someone else's?

I'm glad there are SOME people around with a spine. -
You may be thinking of OSHA. That's been where there have been a few successes in the courts recently for drivers who had been fired for refusing to drive unsafe equipment or not violating HOS.

I use the Qualcomm for every communication. Or email that way there is a record of the conversation. If you call and they say "hey run this load illegally" tell them to send the order through the Qualcomm so you have a copy of it. Chances are they won't ask again.
